B1G rejects Nebraska's bid to add Chattanooga to replace Wisconsin game this weekend

Not surprised by this at all. They said they weren't allowing non-conference games and they aren't. Even though they stuck to their guns, they still come out of this looking stupid once again.

So Wisconsin shuts things down even when the Big Ten rules would have allowed them to still play, then the Big Ten doesn’t force Wisconsin to have to forfeit, and then they frick over Nebraska.

This rule, to me, makes no sense. It punishes teams that are healthy. If Ohio State is 6-0 and staring at a CFP appearance would the conference allow a game against them to be cancelled?

If Texas would stop it's independence than the Big 12 could get back together

They were on the verge of having the B1G shut them down. They already met the population positivity rate and almost met the test positivity rate threshold needed to have the conference shut them down. They had two options:
1) Shut down themselves and get it under control
2) Be at the whim of the B1G if they meet both thresholds, which is a minimum 7 day shut down and basically they get to prove to Kevin Warren why you should be allowed to continue to play.
They took the lesser of two evils and chose #1. Personally they should have rode it out and hoped for neither of the 2.
FYI, I'll say again, the B1G's guidelines are stupid to begin with, but these are the stupid rules they need to follow to be able to play.

I misread your first post. The B1G rules are ridiculous, they basically set up the schools to fail by not putting in any bye weeks. You can do all the testing in the world, but there will be outbreaks. Why the B1G won’t allow teams to schedule other games makes zero sense
