Hearing B10 expansion rumors again.BTN TV deal up in 2016 with projection in first year 2017 of being roughly 44m per school. B12 in panic

OU, Kansas, GT, Baylor and a few others all may be targets.

Iowa didn't play any of the power teams and now they want to add more?

Delany obviously DGAF and probably wants bodybag games for the good teams.

OU and Kansas would be nice. I thought they are tied to their other state schools, though.

It'd be hilarious if B1G expands into Texas.

There's a 0.0 chance of the B1G wanting them.

Going to 18 and adding Kansas, OU, Baylor and GT would be fricking huge.

Baylor doesn't want the Big Ten either. They wouldn't be able to schedule FCS teams constantly and would be required to schedule a P5 team every year.

Don't they have a rule or agreement that they can only expand to states that are touching current members?

That means Kansas and Oklahoma would have to come together

Not that I've heard.

Also, academics would play into it as well. Not sure how they are at some of the schools mentioned.

I'd be shocked if the B1G expanded again. I get why they did it, but adding Maryland and Rutgers didn't excite anyone.

It didn't excite fans but it was a huge boost to the TV revenue. That excited the schools.

That is what I was referring to where I said "I get why they did it" in my post.

If the money is right, it will happen. TV revenues are too huge to ignore, and I guarantee you the B12 schools feeling slighted by the Longhorn Network are willing to listen.

Adding MD and Rutgers added important potential tv markets and universities with large alumni bases and large media markets even if RU doesn't dominate the New York market it gets you a foothold and if you want big time college football RU is the closest choice.

I would rather UVA and UNC join the big ten and see Va Tech and NC State join the SEC and then you see a merger of some sort between what's left of the ACC, Big 12 and AAC into two conferences.

Unless K-State and the Poke could stop it I'm sure they would. Kansas brings basketball, academics and some of the Kansas City market. OU brings all of Oklahoma, basketball, football and a brand.
