Dwight Schrute and Co. have Bobo on the ropes and are about to give the Badgers their first loss.

Indiana is at worst the 5th or 6th best team in the conference and a top 25ish team

This changes nothing. Wisconsin is still the best team, no one thought Wisconsin was going to go undefeated.

Didn't they storm it when they beat Kentucky a few years back?

I think so.

Yea Michigan is a bubble team right now. You cannot go 8-4 in ooc games and expect to walz into the tourny.

Michigan will be in as a 7 seed most likely. Plus there is time to get several signature wins.

Just checked out the sagarin rankings.

quote:

1 BIG TEN = 84.06 84.04 ( 1) 12 84.01 ( 1)
2 BIG 12 = 83.71 83.43 ( 2) 10 83.64 ( 2)
3 BIG EAST = 81.72 82.14 ( 3) 10 81.88 ( 3)
4 PAC-12 = 81.68 81.84 ( 4) 12 81.65 ( 4)
5 ATLANTIC COAST = 81.32 81.37 ( 5) 15 81.34 ( 5)
6 SOUTHEASTERN = 79.60 79.95 ( 6) 14 79.76 ( 6)
7 AMERICAN ATHLETIC = 79.36 79.43 ( 7) 10 79.40 ( 7)
8 ATLANTIC 10 = 79.20 78.98 ( 8) 13 79.13 ( 8)
9 MOUNTAIN WEST = 76.96 76.97 ( 10) 11 76.88 ( 10)
10 WEST COAST = 76.88 77.52 ( 9) 10 77.15 ( 9)
11 MID-AMERICAN(east) = 74.40 74.38 ( 12) 6 74.38 ( 12)

I included 11 so Ohio can represent. Big 12 is close behind the B1G and then it drops of a bit.

It definitely goes in cycles. It was just a few years back when the B1G was down and the ACC was king. There is so much parity on CBB these days.

Again, Indiana beating Wisconsin just goes to show you the depth of the B1G. Just like Iowa beating Ohio St, i think this game was more about Indiana winning then it was about Wisconsin losing. Indiana is a very young team that will improve over the season. Nobody was going unbeaten in the B1G. Everybody keeps saying the B1G isnt quite as good as last year, i think its even deeper because the bottom of the middle pack teams are better then they were last year. Penn St is 0-5 in conference, but they are a tough out man. This season promises to be every bit as exciting as the last 3 seasons. With the recruiting classes coming in for the B1G, the conference is healthy and has sustained success in the future. Ill say it again, Iowa wins the B1G this year. Of all the teams in the B1G, they have everything you need to make a deep run. Wouldnt it be weird to see both Iowa and Iowa St both in the elite 8/final 4???

Not to pick on you but we can't judge the SEC crowd for saying the same thing about their football conference and then turn around and do the same about basketball. It was a bad loss for Wisconsin IMO, plain and simple.

Agree to disagree, Im not one who ever preached that about the SEC. The SEC is a dam good football conference, they've earned the right over time to be able to say that about their conference. Over the last 5 seasons, the B1G has earned that right as well in Basketball. The Sagarin ratings dont lie. Its extremely hard to go into a venue like Assembly Hall and pull out a win. Make no mistake about that. I dont think its a bad loss at all! Losing to Nebraska or Northwestern is a bad loss. Losing to NCAA tourny teams on the road arent bad losses.

TITLES. The Big Ten has none to show for all of this. I happen to believe that the Big Ten is the strongest overall basketball conference but with a title or two to back it up it's just regular season trash talk.
