Not gonna lie.. I’m currently addicted to liquid oxycodone myself. I had esophageal cancer 2 years ago. I treated it with 36 radiation and 14 chemo sessions. The pain is pretty much gone, but I still tell them it’s there so that I can get my 900 mL every month. I try to tell myself that I’m alright, but really I’m relying on it more and more as the weeks go by. I’m not sure what I can do to fix it. I can’t just stop. I need something to replace it. Easier said than done. I’m not one that will stand here and say addiction is a disease like cancer, because it isn’t. It’s a choice that I made and that I continue to make.

The tinfoil hat side of me doesn't think that these deaths from laced drugs are all that unintentional.

Especially after seeing the story of like 26 tons of Chinese fentanyl being seized in Mexico.

Agreed

But there have been some fairly large fentanyl busts from third world countries

idk man

the idea is they only need a wee little bit to add to coke that's already been cut with, idk, baking soda, and it's gonna get people really high. So they can cut it and keep people happy because fentanyl feels the same, albeit much stronger.

problem is is just a wee little bit more than that wee little bit can instantly kill someone.

I would be intrigued to read about this. I haven't read much more than what I've posted.

It’s legitimately a thing, at least where heroin is concerned. There was some hot shots up in Cinci with it that caused a ton of OD’s not too long ago. When asked why they would do that, a former dealer/recovery counselor told the local station that addicts will chase a high so high that it causes ODs like that because it’s like that first high that they initially chased. It actually increases their sales.

you should A-attend narcotics anonymous until B- a quality rehabilitation facility has a place open for you. It will continue to progress. I've seen it personally. You will be left with nothing and have wasted your life.

You need to tell your doc you are addicted and slowly come off. It will be difficult, but not impossible. Good luck brother.

Right, nobody is calling their dealer asking for an 8-ball of fentanyl.

unless they are attempting to commit suicide

even then, they are buying far too much

I was addicted to addy for like six months. Was buying 70-80 pills at a time and dropped like 60 pounds. Friends finally had an intervention. I never once thought I was in trouble and still really don’t , but I probably was.

I’ve never been drawn to downers so I cant relate to opioids, but if I had died from my heart exploding I wouldn’t want anyone losing any sleep over it because I was a retard, but that’s really easy to say when I’m here and off it now.

I'll ask again because it seems it went unnoticed: if this was a case of fentanyl laced coke, wouldn't the coke show up on the tox screen?

I'm lucky. In my younger, stupid days, I used to chomp lortabs like it was candy. Never got hooked fortunately.

Yea I guess it would have. That’s a good point. Maybe they didn’t mention it as it was unrelated to the OD? Idk.

Hell maybe bro was just doing fentanyl. If that’s the case then Jesus fricking Christ, he had a death wish.

Honestly up until recently I’d say I didn’t have much sympathy for your average user that OD’d but a girl I knew apparently died from fentanyl as well. Honestly a very good person and would have never known she had problem if you met her. Crazy how that shite can just take over someone’s life though, not just losers you think have nothing going for them
