Joking. It's an Atlanta sports team after all, lol. Seriously though, they look good and are a complete team. Too bad Matt Ryan isn't elite or it could actually be our year.

I think they'll get badly exposed on defense by the Packers in the NFC championship.

Haven't the Falcons played the easiest schedule in the NFL this season?

I don't think the Falcons will make the superbowl this year. San Francisco as long as they are on their game can beat any team in the NFL with ease. Also, Seattle scares me believe it or not. They have a solid running game with a mobile QB, and their defensive secondary has the size and strength to really shut down Roddy and Julio

The Atlanta syndrome will 'rise up' to the occasion.

I think Atlanta has as good a chance as anyone in the NFC. Every playoff team in the NFC has flaws.

49ers - inexperienced QB
Packers - weak defense
Redskins - inexperienced, injured QB
Seahawks - inexperienced QB
Giants - prone to not showing up at all for games
Cowboys - well, they're the Cowboys
Bears - weak defense, horrible OL

IMO, any one of those teams could beat anyone of the other teams on any given day. I'd probably only bet on the Packers and Giants beating the Falcons at this point. And, the Giants could still miss the playoffs.

ETA: I think the Super Bowl Champs come from the AFC this year. Either the Broncos or the Patriots are going to destroy someone in the Super Bowl, IMO.

When the played the Saints the second time, Brees threw 5 interceptions and the Falcons still only won the game by less than 7 points. That's pretty mind blowing when you think about it. Then they got curb stomped by the Panthers. The parity in the league right now is pretty severe but I just have a strong feeling the Falcons are going to get blown to hell in the playoffs again

Not really, but go ahead thinking that. Last week's game against the Giants was the outlier this season. The games against Oakland, Arizona, Carolina (both times) and Tampa are more consistent with what this team really is.

The thing is...they look like a strong team. But that doesn't mean they are.

30-20 is curb stomped?

Then please give me your great wisdom on the dick kicking that the Giants gave your beloved Saints..

what was that score.. 52-24?

Whether or not the Falcons are for real is a fresh, interesting topic around here.

The Falcons are a solid team, offense, defense and special teams. They are as good a team as there is in the NFL right now, and have a good shot of making the super bowl.
They had home field advantage a couple of years ago and lost to the packers, but they are a couple of years older, including Ryan.

The Saints have been curb stomped numerous times this year. Don't know what that has to do with a Falcons discussion, though.

Exactly my thoughts. Obsessed much?
And 30-20 does not tell the true story of that game, it was never close

Their defense is average and offense has sputtered against mediocre competition at times this year

It's not Matt Ryan's fault you won't win the SB
