I wouldn’t have bunted against a guy who was walking batters, but it’s working.

Austin’s playing a great third base lately.

Chase rate is way way down. It was 93% last year. 48% this year.

Annoying to use him in winnable games but the truth is your high leverage guys can’t pitch every day and this team is either winning or losing narrowly 80-90% of the time so any time we’re losing Snit goes to the B bullpen and hopes we can slug our way back into the lead.

Even that groundout was smoked.

He’s so bad.

We were up 3-2 when McHugh came in.

Regardless, Tonkin should’ve been the play if it was a B pen day.

A primetime game on disney. We weren’t ever going to be allowed to win this regardless.

Guess that’s good news for the playoffs since we won’t get any night games til the NLCS.

Why such a long break between innings there? Stretch I know but that seemed super long.

Toscano-

The Braves listed "TBA" for Wednesday. With that, they built in extra rest for starters. They can also line up Spencer Strider to start the opener at Dodger Stadium.

I guess that means a Soroka spot start in Colorado.

This umpire is letting this catcher play him for a fool.

I left the game (and thread) to watch the Saints preseason game (both games bad ball). However, I just caught up and would like to say I’m 100% Team Broski in here.

I see Snit was doing Snit type things tonight. Pitch Minter in the 9th last night when we had a 5 run lead, then turn around and pitch McHugh in a super high leverage situation when he's been complete shite all year and can't find the strike zone with a map half the time. And then for good measure throw him out there for another inning to make sure the game gets fully out of reach.

Hopefully McHugh gets a DL stint or DFA once we get back injured relievers.

Yeah, it's hard to complain with how good we've been this year, but some of these pitching decisions are head scratching.

McHugh should never be brought in with traffic on the bases. He's got to have a high percentage of inherited runners scored against.
