At this point in the season, why do we still think McHugh is good enough for games that aren’t decided?

Walks and hard contact have been his entire season

Walks just kill relievers. TIL we have the second lowest bullpen walk rate in baseball. Didn’t help tonight.

I full believe that if we would’ve let Shuster finish the 5th, it would at worse be a 3-3 game right now.

Maybe they're wanting to save the high-leverage guys for Colorado and LA and not overwork them. The series is already decided, no need to waste them maybe? Playing the long game looking ahead to October.
