Strider in a playoff situation makes me nervous.

Every pitcher in a playoff scenario scares me right now.

Strider has been a rollercoaster the last month with alternating good and bad outings, Elder is Elder and Fried will be ice cold and his last two starts he was pulled in the 6th inning because of a blister forming.

And again, we’re a Fried blister setback from having to actually make the decision on if Wright can put together 6 quality innings, something he hasn’t done all year, because the alternative is staring Winans in a road playoff game.

All of this backdropped by a lackluster bullpen.

It’s a cause for concern.

You're right. I looked at the wrong score.

It's been a busy weekend.

Thanks for the correction.

Just sit back and enjoy the ride, fellas.

That's all we can do.

It was nice to see Wall get a HR in his first start.

When you break one of Eddie Mathews's team records, you're doing something right.

Looking like the Braves may just have to mash their way to a championship this year. Pitching is wobbly as hell right now.

This lineup could do it though.

Oh and 100 wins with 6 to play. Need to acknowledge an incredible season. Whether we get hot at the right time is TBD but this team has been fun.

What worries me is that, historically, in the playoffs it comes down to good pitching over good hitting.

If we win it all this year, it will be because either we had some pitchers stepped up out of nowhere like in 21 or our historically great offense came over our clear pitching deficiencies, which would be a shift from the paradigm.

I actually think our toughest test will be the NLDS where pitching becomes way more important in a shorter series, especially if we draw Philly who has an offense that has been on par with ours for the past 6 weeks.

No doubt. Was hoping that Fried, Strider and Morton would be hitting on all cylinders which would be a fine 3 man rotation for the drawn out NLDS, but now Morton is out and Fried doesnt seem 100% so my confidence is shaken.

Having the tie breaker over both teams is huge, otherwise the magic # would be 4.
