I imagine we dump Ender, Markakis
and probably won't sign Duvall if
we sign Ozuna.
We also get to take Hammels salary off the books but who knows what the Braves will claim as far as their finances.
Sorry,I just don't see em opening their check books this off season.

Duvall is under contract through 2022 or 2023. We won’t need to sign him.

Biggest issue for the Braves next year, is the finances are a mess. Revenue is down over 90% basically with no fans and the battery closed. They are not sharing tenant information in the battery, so assuming those guys are not paying rent anymore either.
If Liberty continues to run it like a business, I am assuming payroll will be cut drastically next year.
Unfortunately they do not have the fat TV deal that other teams have. Thanks Time Warner

Offseason priority will be adding a guy like Bauer or trading for a starter with a significant financial commitment
What in the world have the Braves done to make you feel confident in either of these things?

Not as bad as it once was. estimated $83 million annually

Braves do far better on the TV side than they’ve allowed people to believe: they’ll make around $83 million this year, Liberty Media’s CEO said at a presentation last month, and it will rise to $113 million between now and its expiration in 2028.

The T.V. deal is up in 2025. Thank God. That's holding the finances back, not Liberty. They have nothing to do w/the team finances.

Per Liberty Media it expires in '27
While not on the Dodgers scale, the Braves TV revenue is in
the top 8 in MLB.

“It’s … 83 million dollars, rising to, like, 113 (million) in 2028,” Liberty Media CEO Greg Maffei said during a presentation at the Moffett Nathanson Media and Communications Summit in New York last month. He later clarified that the final year of the deal is 2027.

Bauer has stated that he only wants to take one year deals for the rest of his career. The Braves have shown a willingness to sign guys to huge one year deals.

I'm fine passing on Bauer. He will be demanding the moon, and has been pretty inconsistent in his career. He also has shown to be a borderline head case at times and I doubt our pitching staff would squeeze the most out of him.

He's a bit of a weird guy, but was a good teammate in Cleveland by most accounts.

He's a veteran and knows how to get the most out of himself when he isn't playing with drones. Bauer is an incredibly smart guy who does things like put a bolt through the middle of a baseball so he can study the spin on his pitches easier.

he's not really "under contract" for those arbitration years. kind of a nit pick and I don't see them not tendering him a contract, but technically he is only signed for this year.

Pursuing Bauer is a no-brainer.

On another note, I would love to see Fried's start get skipped today and let him get ready for the playoffs.

I’m kind of the opposite. Don’t give anyone a break. It’s only been 50+ games.

Thx. For some reason I was thinking '25.

He's a weird guy, but not a bad guy or malcontent by any means. He's actually very smart and well-spoken. He should be the player-rep head IMO.

I'm okay w/getting him and Anderson 3 innings each and sitting them.
