What I hope happens: We get George Kirby and a good pen arm.
What I expect to happen: we make 1-2 Mahle type moves and then AA goes on the broadcast tomorrow talking about how teams weren’t willing to deal.

They have got to get legit starting pitching today. And somehow cover up the huge hole at 3B and SS or they have no chance. Even if they do that, they still may have no chance against the dodgers

DeGrom should be relatively cheap prospect capital because of his age.
I would not hate that at all.

Buster Olney was on 680 The Fan earlier.
He says the Braves will add an adequate #2 starter.
He sees former Cy Young award winner Robbie Ray as a big possibility.
Ray is 10-6 with a 3.08 era on a terrible Giants team.
Also had a pretty good season last year, era around 3.
Some will be against this, however, Ray takes the mound every 5 days, usually 6 innings quality work.

He is an immediate upgrade over every single guy we've trotted out for a start outside of Sale.
Not sure we do land Ray specifically though since we've already dealt with San Francisco and I tend to disregard any rumors from the media because AA hardly every leaks out trade info.

If you could get all three of those guys and get Texas to eat say 60% of the owed money would you be okay including Ronald in the package going back?

No. That would be a tremendous steal for Texas and a shite ton of salary we'd take on for a team that, by trading Ronald and Caminniti, immediately becomes a seller both in the immediate and long term.
Any team that takes on Corey Seager may actually be retarded.

And I said they would have to figure out the money thing.
I would give up Ronald to get the pitchers alone though. Go for it all this year. If healthy Sale, Degrom, eovaldi would be pretty rough to beat. Still like our offense without Ronald, will come down to having the right guys hot at the right time per usual.

We all know Acuna is injury prone, underperformed this year, but if he can possibly hang on for the last leg of this season, there is a chance he could regain some superstar rhythm.

Correlation doesn't equal causation. He's hitting sub .200 since he came back and we have been rolling. Olson is much more the driving force of this run.
Dude is hurt all the time, getting older, and we will lose him in two years regardless. We should have traded Fried at the 24' deadline. Trade Ronald now and get Texas to eat most of the salary of the pitchers.

Brother, you aren’t trading Ronnie for a 38 year old Degrom, Seager and Eovaldi. That would be an outright disaster of a trade.
