someone on 680 today said the Braves need to win 9 out of 12 vs the Mets to have a chance at the division with the moves they’ve made.

How are the phillies not pitching a position player right now, especially with such an early turnaround tomorrow?

Ozuna is more likely to hit into a triple play than hit a triple, and yes, I know there were two outs .

How are seats right behind home plate at Truist? Any perks (free beer I hope)? We had season tickets behind home plate for a few years when the Braves were at Turner, but now we just go to games occasionally.

Truist seats which are the first 4 rows behind the plate are all you can drink… liquor included and basically anything you can want to eat. Delta seats, which are the rest of the padded seats are all you can drink beer and wine and buffet but it’s wings, burgers, hot dogs, charcuterie set up and a couple other random items depending on the day plus ice cream and cookies and shite like that. If you can get em under $200 it’s worth it if you’ve never done it. I’ve sat there 7-8 times and it’s def worth it. Especially if you like to drink.

Delta sounds like my spot. Beer and a hotdog are all you need at a game

And it can all be delivered for free (if you’re a cheap arse and don’t tip) but I prefer to go down and get my own. One night I went they had shrimp cocktail and sushi. It was actually the cheapest I spent too. It was for the futures game and I found tickets on stubhub for $17 a piece. I think it was 2017…maybe 18. But I bought 6 of em and gave em out to friends who could make it and we had a blast. I didn’t think it would be the regular all you can eat and drink but it turned out to be the best I’ve been to.

I used to live .4 miles from the stadium so I would sit on stubhub after work and if they ever got below $120ish I would buy em and walk up and just get shithoused on hopsecutioner. Highly recommend at least once if you have the $$ to blow on it.

Now a days I rarely see them below $150 on stubhub. Some days on some braves Facebook ticket sites I’ll see em for $100 but usually last minute or for day games

I'd say we need to beat them a lot because of the difference in strength of schedule for the Braves and Mets the rest of the way. I don't know what makes them think the Mets did anything at the deadline to significantly improve. They added some platoon options, and gave up a platoon type guy (Davis) in the process. Neither of these two teams did much other than make some minor tweaks.

Fangraphs ROS projections:

Braves: 58-35

Mets: 59-35

They are projecting our pitching to improve a bit and the offense to regress a bit (both very slight), and the Mets pitching to stay the same while the offense regresses.

Padres projections improved by almost half a run scored per game. For context, the top ranked offense and bottom ranked offense are separated by about a run per game, so thats a massive improvement (but shouldn't surprise anyone).
