Hopefully our farm system is built up by then to pry Reynolds away from the Pirates for prospects. I realize that this is a pipe dream

Can't trade for Reynolds, his contract doesn't allow for 1% to be donated to the Braves foundation.

I think we pick up Eddie's option, considering Pillar is a FA and we don't really have any viable OF option in the minors (unless we start working Grissom there in the spring). Not saying we won't sign someone to platoon with him or possibly beat him out, but I think he's with us to start next season.

Here's the OF FA class this offseason

quote:

Outfield: Cody Bellinger, Teoscar Hernández, Michael Conforto (opt-out), Joey Gallo, Kevin Kiermaier, Joc Pederson, Jorge Soler (opt-out), Harrison Bader, Andrew McCutchen, Charlie Blackmon, Michael Brantley, Tommy Pham, Mark Canha (club option), Adam Duvall, Randal Grichuk, David Peralta, AJ Pollock, Jurickson Profar, Hunter Renfroe, Robbie Grossman, Max Kepler (club option), Wil Myers, Victor Robles (club option), Eddie Rosario (club option), Michael A. Taylor, Jesse Winker

Not a lot of those guys are better than what Eddie is giving us at the plate right now.

Bellinger, Hernandez, Bader, Conforto, and Canha are better.

Cubs will likely re-sign Bellinger to a huge deal as long as he doesn't fall off a cliff during the final 2.5 months.

I've been saying it since June... Harrison Bader will be a Brave next year. Doubt the Yankees re-sign him.

What? Are you pulling my leg? If not, what am I missing? Can you expound further? Thanks.

Vaughn is in the middle of a 36-game on-base streak for us that includes 17 multi-hit games. His .909 OPS leads the team, and he is three doubles away from matching the team record for a single season.

I think all of the team options could be picked up except maybe McHugh. Statcast numbers for McHugh are repulsive. Hand is 50/50. Probably depends how he finishes. The FA class is really underwhelming and all the salaries on the options are pretty reasonable.

The under the hood numbers over the last 45 days for Morton make that one questionable. If he wants to come back though he’s probably re signing. Maybe they do another 1+1 deal with some buyout creativity to lower the AAV though.

I think Yates and Rosario are pretty close to locks.
