Yeah I played baseball all my life until I joined the army at 18 lol. Oke day junior year even though I was always one of the best players I started having panic attacks at the plate and went almost full Dan ugla until a mix of pre game Valium and therapy helped

Meh sports isn’t 99% mental lol. Pro anyway. Much of it is physical including the barrier of entry

I’ll agree most parts of life are like 90% mental though

You gotta get started young but still, whatever the mind of man can conceive and believe, he can achieve.

Spud Webb.

I added an edit I agree with you except for carve out niches like an example a 5 foot 6 guy may be the most mentally strong man ever but isn’t likely to make the NBA

What .25mg of Valium 4 hours before the game is nothing really to a 180pound 17 year old and helped me return to form. Once therapy was done the Valium was tapered off. This is a very very common thing

I get ya, not likely no. But anyone can achieve anything imo. I'm no Spud Webb. I understand if people don't agree. But, tbh, I should never have gotten nearly as far as I've gotten. I've had some great mentorship and very good help. So maybe I'm biased.

Can they sure? How tall was Thomas for Boston? I’m just saying barring very very rare exceptions high level sports like UGA football and pro level require more than only mental fortitude but mental is a much bigger part.

Yeah totally. I had to have it for an MRI once. I suck at closed-in spaces.

I love how Lopez wears the thumb guard, but doesn't use it.

Yankees have had enough of Lopez for one game. Mets still having PTSD. Dude will be good for some team down the road. Not sure if the Braves keep him for good. I like him though.

I doubt he stays. Top of my head Rosario is the only one of these guys we have kept around really. Arcia maybe?

Plus if he plays really well into the playoff push and post season he will be rewarded well by somebody

He has a 31st avg in the league at 280 28 homers which is 8th 75 RBI’s which is 14th and like an 870 ops which is 17th. He’s doing pretty good man

Not saying he's not, just pointing he hasn't been producing with runners on lately.

Riley is a streaky hitter. Has been since he arrived although every single year he improves in this by great strides. He will win an MVP one day once his full consistency arrives
