Mets are getting smoked by the Rockies. If that result holds, every team in the East besides us will have a losing record.

Also, we'll be 7 games up.

TDA caught another 5 innings for Gwinnett today. He's expected to be activated for the Boston series.

Grissom went 2-for-3 with a 2B in his return to AAA.

ATL beat writers saying Snitker was being dodgy about when Max will pitch again and wouldn't say if he was injured.

Rewatching Elder's performance today, while it wasn't his best, it was still solid.

Still blows my mind that he started out in Gwinnett this year. I guess they wanted another LHP in the rotation with either Dodd or Shuster, but Elder – outside of one start – was doing this all spring.

Wasn't Elder walking a bunch of guys all spring? I think that was a big reason he was sent down.

His walk rate wasn't THAT different from Dodd and Shuster over a limited sample size in the spring.

At Gwinnett, Grissom and Shewmake were splitting shortstop and second base duties earlier this season. Both might also see time at third base since the Braves don’t have an experienced backup at that position when Adrianza is on the IL. Some observers believe Grissom could be moved at least part-time to left field to see if his size and skill set are better suited to the outfield, though the Braves have said they still view him as a shortstop.

“I think the organization believes in versatility, even though one of those guys may end up being the shortstop of the future,” Washington said. “And I’m not saying they are, but they’re in line to. It’s always nice to be able to do something else, especially in the game today.”

Hopefully whatever is going on with Max isn't serious. They pushed back his last start, he got rocked, and now they won't commit to him making his next start.

Max Fried was lined up to start on Wednesday versus Boston. The Braves have listed it as a TBA.

"We're just going through some things right now," Brian Snitker said.

I was thinking it sounded like his blisters might be coming back but I also think they'd just say that if that was the issue.

I need to hear the context for this quote. I know Snit isn't the most precise and articulate speaker so maybe I shouldn't read too much into it, but "We're just going through some things right now" when talking about Fried's status is a very strange comment.

Regardless, Murphy struck out

Yes he did.

On the year he has struck out 28 times, while William Contreras has struck out 21 times.

I know this is schtick, but next do home runs.

I maintain my prediction that Murphy—despite sharing time with TDA—will have more WAR than Contreras and Langeliers combined.
