We get to see Ozzie with the Quikrete patch on his left shoulder for the first time.

Ozzie should hit in the 2 hole against lefties.

Mentioned in the old thread, but AJSS was called up today with Luetge DFA'd.

He's going to be great bullpen help this season, and should factor into the rotation either next year or 2025.

He started the season out in High-A and has dominated every level over the last two months as a starter.

He didn't give up his first run until a few weeks ago in Gwinnett.

Olson still has the second highest OPS on the team.

ETA: What is Ozzie's OPS against lefties (batting RH)?

Last week, I asked Ronald Acuña Jr. whether he's trying for 30-30 or 40-40. He's not. "I never set goals in my mind because when you set a goal, you're also setting a limit." A no-limits Acuña is a scary thought. More from Atlanta on his historic start:

.1283 vs Olson’s .625 vs LHP

Pretty close call imo

1.283

Olson's OPS vs LHP is .625 (1.030 vs RHP)

That's why I asked.

No need to be an a-hole about it.

Pace yourself. Looked like a friendly just messing around kind of post.

He doesn’t have time for that mess. He’s spending time with the family on this beautiful day after Memorial Day evening

The plan is for AJ Smith-Shawver to pitch out of the bullpen. He would be the next man up if the Braves needed a starter, but it’s easier to break guys into the majors via the bullpen than in the rotation. The Braves had an opening by DFA’ing Luetge, so they were able to do this.

I'd guess AJSS will get a start during the next homestand. It seems like the team is trying to give Elder, Shuster, and Soroka extra days whenever they can, which is a smart thing. They're about to play 6/6 - 6/18 without a day off.

I just got a very generous line at -200. Time to clear my gambling debt, baws.
