I’m totally flummoxed by Mateo at DH and Kim at SS. If you want to get Mateo in the game play him at Short and literally any of our other guys Eli, Dom, Yaz would be a better AB at DH than Kim
The only thing I can figure is that Walt is trying to give Kim a lot of ABs to get out of it. I just don’t see it with him.
I would LOVE to go get Neto at the deadline, but that’s a pipe dream

Braves fielding has been extra sloppy so far. It’s tough to watch.

Riley 0-1. He walked the first AB.

Sucks for Bryce, Matt kind of fricked him over there. Definitely out of character for Matt.
Elder is missing over the middle of the plate with everything though. Not a good start for him tonight. That’s the problem with Elder, and why it’s hard to see a great future for him……he doesn’t have great stuff, so when he misses location consistently this is what happens.
He was displaying better command and control this year, so hopefully this is just a one off

Elder is still a AAAA pitcher that happened to find a new pitch to start the year. But now that hitters have seen it enough…..

Unbelievable, especially against this sorry arse Red Sox squad

I have been a HUGE critic of Elder over the last few years…..but that changeup is a good pitch. If he can command it, it can be big difference maker for him. It would pair nicely with that 2 seamer.
I think there was enough there to give him a little time to see if it’s real.

An arse WHIPPING from the great and powerful Red Sox…….baseball bruh

just an absolute nightmare BABIP game. it happens.

Some of it was bad babip luck…..there was a good bit of bad pitch location as well, on Dodd’s part as well

Very curious to learn what this offense is made of for the month of June.
May has not been kind to our offense compared to the elite numbers we put up in April.
Not sure what is closer to our real offense.

Dubon is a heck of a ball player.

May is closer to what I was projecting for the offense. I was very critical of AA for not addressing SS (with a better option than Kim) or LF.
Dubon has been a pleasant surprise, but he’s really great super utility piece to move around. He and Dom have over performed to this point. You definitely can’t count on that the rest of the way…..fine depth, just like Mateo.
This core needs to be carrying the team. Riley being really cooked would be devastating to this organization….same thing with Ronald. Olson will get back going IMO. What I am really curious about is if this surge by Harris is real. He’s done this before and cratered.
If this Harris is real, that would definitely be a very positive take away.

I still have the game on, not sure why I am torturing myself.
I was re-watching the 8 part History Channel series “The Presidents” late last night…….maybe I will put that back on. It would be more interesting than this lineup tonight

Tolle has been scuffling a little in his last two starts so you’ll score some runs. Going to be a great game imo. Sox lefty legend in Sale vs lefty up and comer in Tolle.

Same here. April had me legitimately shocked. But there just aren’t enough consistent position players or high caliber pitchers in the roster to give me long term optimism. Really sucks, but hopefully some of the long term contract guys figure it out.

Beginning to feel like April was a mirage. I would hate to think Olson and Ozzie had their best months of the season in April. Also hate to think what you saw in Riley and Acunia in April is what you are going to get for the remainder of this season. At this point, what I saw is what they truly are. Its really a shame
