Starting the thread early because I wanted to post what was put out last night about Drake and the other one is anchored. Basically it was confirmed they are still working under no known timeline. Merely a vague expectation of mid to late June.

This tracks with what I said my wife’s doctor friend told me about those injuries for professional athletes when I asked her and she said it’s 6 weeks usually around that long.

Will post lineups later in the day when they’re announced

Just think of all the souls likes games one could finish if we could go on the IL in our respective jobs ??

Hope he gets back soon. Seems like the offense is still powerful without him but much less consistently so

Drake was putting up consistently good AB and was absolutely crushing it as a table setter. He led MLB in runs before he got hurt while also having a slash line of .303/.389/543 and 13 HR.

His 2.3 War in 48 games this season was off to an insane start. He only had 3.3 War in 124 games last year in a season where he won rookie of the year. He was on pace for 5.7 War assuming he just did another 124 games which he wouldve gotten more.

This lineup misses him badly. Harris is crushing absolutely everything and has kind of mostly been carrying the team solo. He needs to be hitting 4th every game no matter if the starter if R or L handed. He has even splits. Hitting him 7th against left handed starters is actively costing us

Drake is the type of hitter the lineup needed in 23. It was an elite lineup but they still scored mostly in bunches. Drake is a steady force that does everything really well depending on the situation

Beat me to it!

At this point I’m expecting at worst 6 IP 2 ER from Bryce “Cy young” Elder

I’m totally flummoxed by Mateo at DH and Kim at SS. If you want to get Mateo in the game play him at Short and literally any of our other guys Eli, Dom, Yaz would be a better AB at DH than Kim

Love what Mateo has done for us this year, but putting him at DH shows us how badly we need another right handed bat.

I’m thinking Tayler Ward from the Orioles as a bat deadline acquisition.

He shouldn’t cost us much to get, he’s on an expiring contract, and fits the bill of what we need.

The big prospect haul needs to go to the best bullpen left handed arm you can get here

Who do you drop when the Braves get the right handed bat? I’d hate to give up Eli and his speed.

Eli is out of options he isnt going to be moved off the 26 man roster although he does become arb eligible next year so he is going to get a pay bump from the 900k he currently makes,

If we pick up a bat Farmer is likely to go out of the people on the roster now even though I think he is on the 10 day IL

We did also resign José Azócar to a minor league deal hes at AAA now.

Great throw but they’re fricking retarded for that send. The ball was hit way too hard he wasn’t even to third base by time Dubon had the ball

Is Ronald the most dumb player in baseball when it comes to choosing to challenge?

Just got home, and it looks like we have a slow start tonight evidently.

Riley and Kim are each 0-2 already…..I’m SHOCKED
