Fried needs to go. With a healthy pitching staff, he should be a bullpen only arm in the playoffs. He hangs every breaking ball in the playoffs.

sad to see him shitting bed two starts in a row. with no morton now we need him more than ever to show up and deliver.

up 0-2 on gurriel and he throws a strike? that ball shoulda been nowhere near the strike zone. all downhill after that. cannot afford big innings like that. have to keep score close so we can scratch and claw a run here and there and win it late.

this fricking zone, I hate being a bitch about it but it's been a blatant significant advantage two nights in a row

Not that it matters tonight, but nonetheless

Come on blue. Call it the same for both pitchers.

Umpires got the message from higher ups.

Last night’s 1.62 wasn’t enough for them

Does the team seem kinda out of it to anyone else? There’s a weird lack of energy from the boys tonight

Need to stop the momentum they have and then slowly claw back in

They feed off each other and the crowd

Lots of breaking stuff. Fried was told he's going deep even if he gives up a bunch.

Stros looked pretty defeated last night - guess it's not surprising.

I'm a little worried about taking one on the chin for our best remaining pitcher knowing Morton is out. Can't get fatalistic.

Damn. Best thing to do is just let Fried keep throwing and see if he can pitch his way out of this little issue he has. Let him try to get some K's against this lineup and build some confidence in his stuff because we will need him Game 6 or 7.

Yep, building a big lead then seeing it erode over a few innings while the guy you rocked settles in is about as demoralizing as we could hope
