I know it’s crazy, but I think we were actually trying to get him out. “Giving” him a single puts the tying run on 1st. I’m fairly sure we would have liked to prevent that.

I AM TALKING WORST CASE SCENARIO YOU GIVE UP A GROUND BALL HIT. you still coulda escaped the inning with a lead. i see now you cannot comprehend that. nevermind man.

Are we not still alive?
see above. i am talking THAT GAME WITH A SHOT TO WIN. aka holding whatever lead in the 9th.THAT GAME! you think we still had a shot down 1 with KJ on the hill? LULZ
see how many low balls are homers versus high balls as a whole. keep thinking pitching him low and away would not have mitigated risk. where he could not get around on it. may have been a grounder to third.
look i know he has a crazy bat angle and it made him good at driving low pitches. i get it. and that is supposed to hurt high ball swings. but i am not talking low inside. low outside. worst case scenario, again, you have a better chance at keeping it in the park. if you get around on something high it normally is gone. and it was. as we all witnessed.

Ahh... the Braves PTSD. It's a real thing.
Every October we tune in to see them hurt us. Year after year.
We see the bullpen give up leads.
We've seen errors made by normally sure-handed players.
Clutch, dependable players can't deliver that just 1 more big hit.
We've seen the Braves lose LOTS of different ways... we've even seen a ridiculous infield fly rule called against us....
This group of guys looks and feel different. Last year they came within 1 game of getting to the World Series.
This year they've already played extremely well in one-run game after one-run game in the post-season and still hold a 2-1 series lead over the Dodgers.
Tonight is a big deal for our Braves. But for us fans.... now that we're in LA and they won the 1st one, it's right there in our minds..... we've seen it year in and year out.

Having said all of that. We're still ok.
We should have an Ace in Fried available for Game 5.
Anderson for Game 6.
And Charlie Morton for Game 7 if needed.
I am encouraged by the fact that we had 12 hits last night and 6 walks. Our guys are battling and seeing the ball well. We needed 1 more clutch hit or pitch last night.....Maybe our bats get rolling tonight.
It's been a fun and stressful series guys. I expect the rest of the series to be the same.

This is the kind of series you use all your energy to win and get your arse kicked in the next round because the tank is empty.
Meh, are you seeing what happening in the ALCS?

I said that after the Game 2 win. I don't know what the hell I was thinking.
I still can't understand what happened in 1995. Maybe we just came across a franchise that was even more snakebit and something had to give.

If someone would've told you last Friday night it would be 2-1 Braves heading into Wednesday's game, everyone would be jumping up and down.
Perspective.
Perspective.

A bunch of scared little boys in here.” OMG the dodgers stole a game. “
I know we gave one away but I’ve been a Braves fan since the late 80’s. Enjoy your team being in the NLCS. Plenty other teams fishing and golfing right now. Let’s Geaux

4-3 series loss incoming. What else could I expect being a fan of the Braves, Falcons, and Gamecocks?

Go ahead and throw my name into the mix as one who thinks they're done.
Yeah, maybe an overreaction, but this is too much like the old WM/Evangel rivalry. WM would jump on top and always lose in the end. Every. Single. Time.

I overreact worse than most and usually have better perspective after sleeping on it, especially if I've been drinking during a game
.
I wasn't drinking last night and I still hold my opinion that the Braves blew their shot. I just can't help but think the Dodger bats were awakened last night.

This group has already proven that it IS different. Before last year we hadn’t won a postseason series in 19 years, and now we are in our second straight NLCS. That’s different. If we lose to a team with a gazillion dollar payroll that won 18 more games than us in the regular season that won’t mean that this Braves group isn’t different. It would mean we got beat by a super team.

Fully expect them to score double digits today to tie it up. And if I'm a Dodgers fan, I'm much happier having Scherzer and Buehler going the last 2/3 against Fried, Anderson, Morton, regardless of how we did against them the first go round.

f it. i like all our BRAVES fans here.
this is like in house family squabbling. we argue and bitch then we let it go.
we all pulling for our braves in the end.
what can you do?

we all need to lift each other up with these crazy highs and lows on this damn braves roller coaster.
one poster is up helping out another poster, then it flip flops and he is down and other guy helps out with some perspective.
i have not seen anybody give up or say we are done well except okietiger. LOL
most are just depressed after another chokejob and know what could be ahead and how this usually ends.
trying to stay positive here.

I will say this: I just chat with several that used to post here in GroupMe. And have all year. Never thought we’d even be in this spot but never stopped watching.
Just gave up on this year being anything back in June lol
