It’s insane how their bottom of the order is averaging over 5 pitches per AB, meanwhile we got Riley fanning on 3 pitches.

Riley’s not a bitch. He’s in an extended terrible funk at an incredibly bad time. It’s not like he’s not trying. Probably trying too hard. I still think he just needs to feel how it feels to barrel one up, even if he doesn’t mean to. Just accidentally run into one and that may be all he needs to shake out of it.
But his opportunities to do so are obviously dwindling.

They are bad for sure but the way that ball bounced off the wall it was a triple at worst. You don’t expect the RFer to be in play with a drive to deep left. The last pop up is worse imo
