That’s not what I’m claiming, but I do believe the numbers. I guess the thousands of times I’ve heard people use the phrase “every 5th day” they were mistaken and really meant “every 6th day.”

But I do think you’re probably right in that pitchers are just used so much differently these days that they find extra rest days for them throughout the year now to keep their innings down. Especially young guys like Strider who aren’t used to pitching this many innings yet and rely so much on velocity. Like I said, I believed the numbers, I was just trying to make sense of them.

BUT, the hill I will die on is that 3 off days in months of 30/31 days makes it mathematically impossible for there to “usually be an off day every week.”

But we’re 10 minutes from 1st pitch of pivotal Game 3. Forget the rest of that shite. Let’s do this. Giddy up.
