I didn’t mind the apple games we had this past year.

I just hope if a streamer gets the RSN, the user interface is just as in-depth as MLB.tv's is.

MLB.tv is absolutely perfect besides the arcane blackout rules.

Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?

But that's not MLB's fault is my point.

It's the RSN's.

Radio folks said that they owe Braves 100 million per year for the next 5 years

Details of the current renegotiated deal LINK

Braves were looking forward to 2023 due to the fact that they managed to restructure their TV agreement so that they would receive a sharp increase in revenue. The restructuring was reported by the AJC to increase the per-year payment from $80 million under the previous agreement to going past $100 million in 2023 before getting close to $120 million by 2027

The article also talks about how Sinclair media overextended themselves and the possibility of Liberty ending up as creditors of Bally and owners of FSN
quote:

This also could end up being a pretty deft piece of business on the part of Liberty if they find themselves as a creditor of Bally Sports via bankruptcy. If that’s the case, then Liberty Media might end up with ownership of what used to be Fox Sports South after all.

I do believe there are some screwy FCC restrictions in regards to the ownership of MLB teams by media companies who also own their broadcast rights.

Bauer would be an improvement

Also Acuna vs Alex Gonzales isn't the drama I knew I needed this off-season

Bauer is a POS attention whore. No way I’d bring him in.

You gotdamn right.

Kyle proved himself last year.

And sorantable is right, Bauer is an attention whore who is bad karma in a clubhouse. Hard pass.

Mark Bowman @mlbbowman
now
Tom Hart remains a top finalist to replace Chip Caray in the Braves' television booth. Sounds like Ben Ingram will remain in his preferred role on the radio side. Ben is as good as it gets on radio.

Have the modern era Braves ever won or played in a WS without a Caray in the booth? Skip or Chip

Sure, they did it with the Greek as GM without Schuerholz, but..announcer?

No, I don't think so.

quote:

Mark Bowman said Ben Ingram prefers radio and it's looking like he'll remain there. Bowman said Tom Hart is a "top"  finalist. Hart currently does a lot of different sports for ESPN/SEC Network. He could still honor some of that commitment and work for the Braves. Of course he was at one time the Braves dugout reporter before going to ESPN.

Gotta believe Hart would accept it. He told the Athletic one time that being at a large place like ESPN can bury you sometimes. Would be an opportunity to get national exposure while also getting chance to stand out. If you're good at being the voice of baseball it's a great legacy opportunity.
