It’s just my personal opinion man.

That's fine, but what don't you like about it?
Just seems like everyone thinks it's too much because they've been told for generations that it's too much.

I just said what I don’t like about it. It taking so long. I’m fine with pimping a home run. Bat flips. Couple second celebration in your own way. But to me, it was just a little too much. He sat there for 5-7 seconds. Again, to me, it’s just a little too long.
Eta: it was actually 11 seconds from the time he started to when he started running.

I think all players should celebrate. Games may last an hour longer but can you imagine if Strider started pimp walking every K? That would be awesome. Same for every infielder who throws you out. Pimp it. Harris could come up with a great routine every time he catches a fly ball. And I can’t wait to see Murphy’s routine when he throws out a runner. As rare as that is it better last a good 45 seconds.

Y'alls thoughts on Dana Brown? Hate to lose him? Indifferent?

Definitely hate to lose him.

Because all of this is the same as hitting the home run.
Also, Strider kind of does pimp his strikeouts.

Great hire for Houston. Was hoping the Ausmus rumors had legs so this didn't happen.

He tucks his shirt behind his buckle and circles the mound while they throw it around. Hardly pimping it at all. The mustache makes it appear worse than it is.

Pitching ninja routinely makes compilation videos of his "k strut"
I love it.

I have no problem with hitters pimping a home run, double, triple, single, bunt, or sac fly. Seriously, I don’t. But I do believe it’s funny that those of us who hate the “unwritten” rules create our own unwritten rules. There should be none! Let Ac7na pimp a homer. That’s great. But then Riley should pimp it out when he makes a play or a pitcher when he gets a K. That’s all I’m saying. Don’t hate on folks who like the unwritten rules then create your own version of unwritten rules. Heck, I think a pitcher should celebrate for intentionally hitting a batter like Urena kind of did a few years back. Let them all celebrate their accomplishments not just a HR.

Nah, that's not an unwritten rule, that's assault. There's a difference.

This doesn't really have anything to do with the 2023 Braves, but I've always thought it was bullshite how soft the rest of the team was after Urena hit him. Snit and Eric Young Sr came out of the dugout before any of the players did.
I know he pimps his HRs and it rubs some people the wrong way. I can't believe the Braves still haven't gone and handled business against the Marlins considering how often they have hit Acuna. Other teams have thrown at him in the past with no retribution (STL: Carlos Martinez and Jack Flaherty) but Braves pitchers need to put a fricking stop to that if it happens again.

Didn't Gausman throw at them?

He threw behind them. Twice IIRC.

W/Mattingly gone, I don't think we have to worry about Acuna getting thrown at. He was the one behind it.
