I fully believe Ronald will be a man possessed next year with another off-season to heal up. He and Olson were our best postseason players, and I expect that to carry over.

I don’t expect Dansby to be back, which will lead to us either signing a cheaper replacement or throwing Grissom out there, which would probably be an incalculable drop in every metric. I know people are saying sign Trae Turner or someone else of that stature, but if we had the $ and desire to sign Turner, we’d just resign Dansby. I personally hope we resign Duvall to a team-friendly deal to start in LF unless we can find someone better. Rosario ain’t it.

The top end of the rotation is pure filth if they’re healthy and playing up to their abilities. Another year of Morton for $20 seems ridiculous. We need Elder or Muller to play consistent enough to be a dependable 5-6 in the rotation. The bullpen should be solid. Hopefully we’ll have Luke Jackson back. Maybe Iglaseas moves into the closer role.

Here’s a hot take. Y’all are an extremely streaky team and came down on the wrong side of your streakiness this year.

I qualify my take by adding that I have no problem with the Braves whatsoever.

Dansby will want Turner type money and IDK if he is worth it.

People need to look at actual comments instead of the source. It doesn’t matter if you have a problem with the Braves or not, your comment was entirely accurate

You’re not wrong.

Sans that final Mets series, our highest-paid/regarded players disappeared up their own assholes for the stretch run. Swanson. Riley. Fried. Morton. Harris II. Contreras.

Dansby is gone and there are not many low cost options out there.....

Segura, IKF, Didi, Iglesias, Andrus

So I'd bet big money on Grissom taking over and the Braves looking for an OF. Maybe Nimmo, Benintendi, take a flier on Gallo, bring back Joc?

Nimmo

This would be hilarious, but I don’t know why the Mets wouldn’t re-sign him. They’re printing money in Flushing, right?

Agree on Ronald but Olson is just streaky and was on a hot streak towards the end.

The Braves almost exclusively sign contracts that are heavily advantageous toward the team. I don’t think Dansby will have that sort of contract where ever he is, so I don’t think he will be a Brave next year. That’s also why I don’t think we would be in on Trea Turner either. If we do end up with one of the big shortstops it’ll be on a Correa type deal for a year, but if Vaughn is the answer long term I think we should just take our lumps there and let him get the innings.

We have to upgrade LF and DH. SS is obviously up in the air too. Have to add some relief pitching. Another top end starter would be great but unlikely given the other needs.

I think Acuna should be better next season and Olson should be disgusting with no shift.

I would like to see Vaughn working during the off-season and spring exclusively in LF. Sign Dansby or get one of the other big name SS, preferably Turner, but idk if we will spend that much. Need someone better than Robbie Grossman and Ozuna at DH.

It is frustrating watching AA’s trade deadline moves. For years he has gone out and got some semi-washed up, or struggling, or people with potential who COULD potentially help. Sometimes it hits, i.e. Pederson/Soler/Rosario in 21, Igelasias in 22, but more often it does not, and I could name plenty of the failures but will not waste yours or my time. It would be nice for a change if he would actually go get a proven commodity at the trade deadline who isn’t struggling and could actually help.

Grossman and Odorizzi are two of the most egregious ones from this year. We NEEDED a good hitting LF and a better starting pitcher, and we got those turds instead. His gambling on these folk possibly working out, and it is to save money pure and simple, didn’t pan out again this year. He got lucky last year and hit a triple 7 on the slot machine, but that is hella rare. The money generated from a WS from merchandise alone has to be staggering. It translates to more season tickets/increased game attendance/battery business/etc. Come off of some damn money and get a higher caliber of talent at the trade deadline. He has some very team friendly deals on the core of the team. Reinvest back into the club the money you all but stole from Albies, etc., and dig deeper at the deadline.

I mean all of that is fine but even an average series from Riley dansby Harris and fried and we easily win that series. The problem is we had about 15 people totally no show if not more

Hot take.
While it’s convenient to blame the offense, has any team ever won multiple titles in a short span without a true ace?
We need an ace. And other than deGrom I don’t know where that would come from.

Only 2 of those fit the bill. Rodon and deGrom.
Nola’s option will get picked up.
And we don’t have the trade bait to pick up someone via trade unless there’s a team looking to offload salaries but I have no idea who that may be.

Maybe. But it’s one year. A lot of people thought Fried was that dude.
