Assuming this is the final Team USA basketball roster and no injuries prior to Olympics

What team will provide the biggest challenge?
When is final roster set?
I would sub out Leonard for Brunson
Lebron
Curry
Durant
Embiid (knee injury and now has a headache)
Davis (always hurt)
Leonard (knee injury)
Booker
Edwards
Tatum
Adebayo
Haliburton
Jrue Holiday

That’s the worst lineup team USA has put out for an Olympics in a long time. The aging stars don’t usually play but they’re all wanting to since it’s in Paris.
Tatum, Booker, and Edwards will need to carry the team. Steph’s 3 point shooting will be useful.

None of the guys you just mentioned are better than the over the hill guys who will be playing.
We should know by now the international game is much too strong for us to send over random C-list players and expect to win gold. We tried that 2 years ago by sending Brandon Ingram, Paolo Banchero, and Austin Reaves. We didn't even medal, we came in 4th place.

Bring back Yugoslavia for the duration of the Olympics so we can get a Jokic/Luka team to challenge Team USA

Somebody else will likely be getting invited because there's a near zero chance Kawhi is healthy enough to play. Embiid has expressed a strong desire to play, so he may still travel but not be as effective.
In any case, this team is a pretty easy gold medal for Team USA.

France should be pretty stout. Gobert and Wemby down low at the same time will cause issues for any team

feels like if there is no Embiid and AD and they are replaced by Brunson and Kyrie then this team will be kind of small
