Yeah...that's my point. Spud was doing things every guy there was and could do better then him, plus lots less...but because he was only 5'7" his ability to do the mundane was considered great in comparison to more talented guys doing things far harder because we knew they were better able to do them.
Same with her. We know women can't do these things, so when one can barely do it, she looks like a superhero to some people and is treated as if what she's doing is so earth shattering that it must be better than everyone else.
Yeah...Spud was closer in talent to what his peers were doing, but it's literally the same shite. He got extra points for being tiny compared to his taller and more athletic competitors. There was nothing he did that everyone there could not have done, but what he did was the very limit of his ability and there were none of the dunks the rest were doing that he could have done.
The worst example of this was in the 06' dunk contest when Nate Robinson missed about 14 times, but still won. Needless to say, being a big is a huge disadvantage; just ask Aaron Gordon (lost to 6'5" Levine and 6'6" Derrick Jones, despite jumping over Tacko Fall).

1986 dunk contest
The slam dunk contest is about (or should be about) aesthetics. Spud Webb being 5-7 made his dunks look cooler/more impressive/showed a high amount of leaping ability and air.
It's awesome for the girl she can dunk and even better for her she can at least do a tiny bit more than a straight dunk. And I'm not saying that flippantly. Aesthetically though, it looked like a 6-3 person doing routine dunks. It wasn't cool or visually impressive or breathtaking at all. Had no business winning a dunk contest.

I’m not watching a 15 second ad just to see a women “dunk.”

The guys in the competition should have just done the exact same dunks she did but thrown then down and then gone over to the judges and asked why they got 30s and she got a 50

Yeah...wake me when she starts throwing down Alex Caruso dunks.

South Park should do an eposide where a Trans woman wins the dunk contest by doing regular shitty dunks

Props to her for doing what few women can do. She's without a doubt a great female athlete. I especially like that she does not have a penis.
But watching that reminds why I don't watch much women's sports, particularly basketball.

I’ve seen dunks in 1a Arkansas basketball better than that
