As the GM for the Bears you trade Cutler for...?

I wouldn't trade him but if a team offered a 2 and a 5 I just might listen. Only because I have Jason Campbell on my roster.

I'd trade him for Jamarcus Russell if he was on a team

A 2 and a 5?? with Jason Campbell as your backup?

You won't get a 1 especially with new CBA.

Then why trade him? In all likely odds you arent getting an Elite QB in the second round so why do the trade?
That would just be trading him just to trade him, instead of getting good value our of him
This is still the same Cutler that was traded for 2 first round picks a couple years ago
Matt Cassell and Kevin Kolb got a 2nd round pick. Getting that for Cutler would be scraps. Youre underestimating how QB hungry the NFL is

A ham sandwich, but only on ciabatta bread.

I wouldn't trade him, as my first sentence stated. But the Bears need draft picks and bodies. Campbell is a decent QB, just unlucky being hurt or with horrible franchises. Plus Lovie is gone, let the new guy build on D. I think you get a replacement for Urlacher Rd 1 or trade down. The 2 you get a QB who can sit a year, like Palmer did.

1) I think youre really overreacting to one bad game against a really good team, they arent in rebuilding mode
2) You are completely overrating Jason Campbell. The dude was dreadful on the preaseason and has been living off of "Matt Moore Syndrom" for about 4 years now.
3) So you want to draft a Middle Linebacker in the 1st (when MLBers are a dime a dozen in te NFL nowadays) and then draft a QB in the second round (Which has a history of not producing elite QBs)?
Theyre an Oline away from being a contender, you just turned an 8 to 10 win team into a 3 win team for the next 3-4 years

Bbbbut he had a shitty game when he was running for his life on every single play.
QUIT MAKING RATIONAL SENSE!
GB has a good defense that shows up for about 3 games a year, it just happens that two of those games are ALWAYS against Chicago.

They're more than o line away IMO. They're behind the Lions, Packers, Falcons, Cowboys, Eagles, Giants, saints, Niners, Panthers. I think you rebuild and start trying to get something, IF you were to trade him.

How about Cutler and two first rounders for Mark Ingram?

No offense, but you sound like a over reactionary, sky is falling moron.
quote:If Cutler doesn't go down with an injury last year the Bears are likely in the playoffs last year or at least make a strong run at them. They've improved the WR situation and the RB situation. They do have OL issues, but they had those last year too and made adjustments to correct them.

Parts of the D will need an overhaul soon, but it's far from time to scrap the season/near future by dumping a very good QB.

I cant say what I would do with him if I were the Bears, but when I was considering how to bet on the game last night, Cutler being the Bears QB was my deciding factor to give them 4.5 points and go with the Packers.
I won!!

I won!!

I'm not a huge Cutler fan, but I'd need at least one more draft pick before even considering a trade. Even then, I wouldn't really think about dealing him.
