Since it is the biggest rivalry in CFB, as everyone has a stake in the game at some level.

While I do like how it is primarily in Philly, it has started to move, been in Boston, NYC, and the Rose Bowl.

What would you think of it moving to a stadium rotation every other year, with it going to Philly in between

DFW (San Antonio does not have a big enough dome)
San Diego
Chicago
Seattle
D.C.
Boston
Baltimore
Meadowlands

That would be a 16-year rotation.

No.

What makes the game special is the cadets in attendance. Game needs to be on the east coast so they can make it from West Point and Annapolis. Philly is the perfect location being right in between. NYC and DC would also be acceptable.

I think you meant the Midshipmen in attendance.

This.

Both schools are on the east coast. NYC/NJ is the closest big stadium to West Point. Baltimore and DC are about equal distance from Annapolis. Philly is in between the two and kind of the birthplace of the nation. The only somewhat outlier is Boston, but it obviously has a lot of foundational history of the US and Army/Navy.

Those five locations are just fine.

I personally think DC, Philly, New York, and Boston make the most sense for an "Army/Navy" game and Philly is an easy commute for both fanbases being almost exactly halfway between Annapolis and West Point.

I think Philly is the optimal location for it.

No one gives a ship if they are there. He was correct the first time.

Op has a good idea but there are significant logistical and cost concerns with transporting, housing, and feeding 4000+ cadets at these host cities. Not a good look to the tax payers.

Reason i choose those specific cities

DFW/San Antonio: major Army bases near
Chicago: central location, major Navy base and presence
Seattle: major military presence with a joint base
DC Nations capital
Boston History
Baltimore Navy and DMV
Meadowlands Army and NYC

I get the idea of spreading it around but it just feels right in the northeast

I have a buddy who graduated in 84 from West Point and said the most fun they had was when they played at the rose bowl I believe his freshman year.

L.A. or SD is probably THE city when it comes to the Navy

A friend's husband was a star man killed in action. She was offered tickets for many years but chose not to attend.

The one reason I can think of moving it around the country would be to reach out to folks like her who would appreciate venues closer to their homes.

As a fan I'm all for it and think it's great. I loved going to the game in Foxboro a couple years ago. I'm just bringing up logistical concerns associated with what could be construed as a boondoggle on the tax payers dime.

When they went to Pasadena in 1983 it took 30 commercial jets to fly the Corps of Cadets and the others to the game. They also had around 4000 local families host them. Not sure if we could pull that off today given today's political climate.

Not a bad idea to rotate it but I’d definitely take Seattle off of there.

Wish they’d rotate it through more Southern cities too because the Northeast in December is Polar Bear territory to me

Yep. I sent him a message right after I posted that. One of the best people you could know. His sister is a 3 star general and the first of her kind in her field. Great family. He said they stayed on the floor of a fellow graduates families house. About 10 of em. Took a bus all the way out there. I can’t tell it like he can but sounded like a great time.
