wasn't a juggle.

Actually the runner has to beat the ball Jim.

ball and runner get there at the same time, runner is safe

in this game, runner should have been out

Geez. Why do they feel the need to defend officials so much in sports. They will straight up rake a player over the coals for mistakes, but when it comes to officials its always some excuse or justification and the inevitable "they are human and make mistakes too" line. The guy made a horrible, unforgivably bad call. Call him out on it.

He didn't say different, but he sure is pulling the excuses out of his backpack...miggy went too far over to second, balls rattling around...what does any of that matter when the end result is a blown call?

Les you're definitely one of the more level headed people on this board, I am absolutely not an AL fan much less the Tigers but it's like my kid brother was out there on that mound for some reason...weird feeling

I don't give a shite about the Tigers or Injuns but I'm still pissed over that call. On a related note theres already a facebook group called "Really, Jim Joyce, Really??" 660 people like it in less than an hour

good point on MLB network

u can see him starting to punch out

and the ball kinda moved in galaragga's glove(though he had control when he touched the base)

he called safe

thats exactly what happened

I have not seen what you did, but even if the ball moved in his glove it is still in his glove! The guy was out!

The whole "tie goes to the runner" deal was changed a couple years back.

I didnt say he was safe, jackass.

That is what joyce saw, in real time. it is much harder call than watching the replay over and over.

yes, he was out. He started to call him out. but he saw the ball move and called him safe.
