The police sitting there waiting for him to come out is hilarious.

I've heard the story of him having a bad reaction to some synthetic weed and ending up in the hospital in Starkville

Yeah, tired of mental health alway being an excuse for bad behavior.

I do remember a Georgia fan trying to attribute all of his questionable behavior to this when Gilbert transferred and how he'd be fine moving forward.

Looks to be in good shape. #1 pick in Nebraska state prison basketball league

So talented, but yet so stupid! At some point, people need to quit making excuses for him and call him exactly what he is - a punk thug that should be behind bars!

This is a big problem. The old way of dealing with mentally ill people who commit crimes was institutionalization.
That largely ended in the 60s due to public outcry over inhumane conditions in mental institutions. And those conditions were poor but the institutions existed because there were mentally ill people that are difficult to deal with and sometimes very dangerous.
It might be inhumane to execute the mentally ill but the concern for their welfare can't outweigh the need for other people to be safe from their violence.

I feel bad for the business owner not the kid. He’s had 3 chances and fricked up every one of them

The fact he covered his face tells me this isn’t some “mental health” bullshite. He knew exactly what he was doing. He’s a piece of shite and needs to be behind bars. Not patted on the back and told “it’s not your fault you’re a piece of shite, you’ve got mental health problems.”
Sure, he’s got mental health problems, he’s a fricking dumbass thug. That’s his mental health problem.

hopefully he can get some direction before he ruins his life.
-His life is already ruined from a potential standpoint
-The direction he’s going is to being a felon
-He may need mental health care, but that doesn’t mean he was somehow ignorant of the fact breaking and entering is a crime.
-Mentally ill does not mean he’s retarded and not to blame for his actions

Did he have any issues growing up? In high school? Any arrests, suspensions, expulsions? Hard to believe this just all came to during college. Then again, he was under Coach O….
