Are the Packers a team that could make a run?

Rodgers expected to play this week or next and they have an easy remaining 4 games

If they get in they will be scary in the playoffs.

With the NFC wide open they have just as good of a shot as anyone.

Well it's impossible for Rodgers to return this week.

I would say no. No chance they win their division, and there are serious contenders for the other WC spots.

They're not catching Minnesota. So they're essentially in the wild card division, which is led by 8-4 teams. It's not happening.

Didn't even get that far into his post. Yeah, the NFC is anything but wide open.

I mean, they do play the Browns but after that it's at Carolina, home versus the Vikings and at Detroit.

How is that easy?

Even if they win out, they would still need help from other teams.

The NFC has too many top heavy teams with 8+ wins right now for the Pack to have a chance especially with Hundley playing QB.

Playoffs will likely be

1. Eagles
2. Saints
3. Vikings
4. Seahawks
5. Rams
6. Panthers/Falcons

It’s unlikely, but I don’t get why some posters are acting like it’s a crazy thought.

If they win his week and the the Panthers lose they will be one game back of the final wild card spot with a head to head game against the Panthers.

And a healthy Rodgers with a running game should be scary for anyone on the NFC.

This is the fourth time you've made a thread about the Packers making a run and the NFC being wide-open (at least you didn't say, again, other teams in the NFC aren't good).

What makes New Orleans more likely to grab the No. 2 seed over Minnesota?

Same poster that thought the Packers surrounding cast was good enough to win 10 games without Rodgers so much so that he started 2 threads about it.

The sooner you realize that Rodgers is that entire team/organization, the better.

Wide open in the sense that the top 4 in the NFC are absolutely stacked and who knows who's going to emerge, sure.

They have one win against a team with a winning record, Seattle in Week 1. They shouldn't throw away their season but if they rush Rodgers back before he's 100% they're idiots.

The fact that I see them finishing 3-1 and the Vikings finishing 2-2 in their remaining 4 games.

Vikings lose @ Carolina and @ Green Bay win vs Cincy and Chicago

Saints win at home vs the Falcons, Jets and @ Tampa while losing @ Atlanta.

Wouldn't the Vikings still own the tiebreaker?

I forgot about that but then again we don't know how the Eagles finish either. I hope all teams are close so nobody is resting players the last weekend of the regular season.

I figured this would be your scenario. Minnesota would still have the No. 2 seed. Of course, this is all assuming Philadelphia doesn't have a meltdown, but they look like good bets to finish 3-1, at worst.
