some always give lebron the credit and not the coach even though both Spo AND lue have proven those types to be laughably wrong.

They are undeniably better defensively without him, and when guys are knocking down shots the offense flows better without him.
That said, when guys aren’t knocking down shots, or the game is tight, he can go get a bucket…
We also have to remember how young he is, and between Covid year and injuries, he has basically played two seasons worth of games. I can see his career going the route of James harden or Russ where he puts up great numbers, but teams can scheme him out in the playoffs.
I could also see him going the way of Jordan (not that he will ever be that good) and being such a fierce competitor that he realizes the shortfalls in the playoffs and changes. If you watched the Minnesota series, his defense improved drastically from the first couple of games. I’m hoping that was him realizing that he has to play both ends.
And the massive question mark around him will always be healthy, with how athletic he is and fearless

b/c at his peak it didn't matter who was coaching him, his teams were going to win no matter what.

Doesn't mean the guy coaching Lebron is always bad, just that they have very little influence on the teams success, at least as far as regular season success goes. Playoffs are a different story. And those guys were given chances to coach lebronless teams and had success, proving themselves. Brown went moved on and proved he didn't have much to do with the Cavs success considering he was fired very quickly both times he was hired.
lets look at Mike Brown's highlights:
With the loss to the Celtics in the 2010 ECF, the Cavaliers became the first team in NBA history to win 60 games in back-to-back seasons without advancing to the NBA Finals.
Brown's dismissal from the Lakers after five games was the third-fastest coaching change in NBA history.
Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert said that firing Brown the first time was a "mistake". 12 and a half months later, Gilbert fired Brown for the 2nd time after the Cavs finished 33-49 with reported infighting within the team.

He had to deal with Kyrie with the Cavs and then kobe with the lakers. It’s a players league. And those are two Tough guys to deal with. He should do well in Sacramento.

that was 2nd year Kyrie, not todays idiot Kyrie.
and that's pretty much what coaching is, dealing with the star players.

Yep, and the kings have none. That’s why it was a great fit they will play hard for him.

i guess we'll find out.
I guess they went the young new coach rout with Luke and it didn't work, so now they are going with the old retread. Doubt it works, but i guess i see their reasoning.
Mike Brown, like Alvin Gentry, is a great assistant coach, just not a good head coach.

Their core guys are fox and Sabonis, two guys who are not known for D. Brown led the warriors D to #2 in the league with average defensive personnel outside of green. Offense should come easy for that group. They need to get better at D to win.

He's one of the single worst defenders in the league. He's horrific defensively.
All world offensive player though

Anyway, Coach brown is 9th all time in win % for coaches with over 500 games. Ahead of Nick nurse. Ahead of guys like spoelstra and lue who also coached lebron.
WBB, this should be really easy, even for you.
What is Mike brown’s record without Lebron on his team?
What is spoelestra’s record without Lebron on his team?
What is Lue’s record without Lebron on his team?
What is nurse’s record without kawhi on his team?

Tell me about the rosters those other coaches had.
Brown second stint in Cleveland these were the top 5 guys in minutes
Tristan Thompson
Kyrie
Jaret Jack
Dion waiters
Andy varejao
Ain’t a coach in league history who wins with that.

So, too much of a bitch to even try to back your newest stupid opinion.
You’re even getting to include a lakers team 2 years removed from a championship, won their division the year prior, and with Kobe averaging 28 ppg to help support your stupidity.

I don’t need any help pointing out your stupidity WBB.

Every coach who wins at a high rate has had stacked teams. Most have much better teams than what brown has had. Safe to say GSW giving him the lead assistant role speaks to how he is respected around the league.
Posted on 5/12/22 at 11:29 am to Tadpole from Cutoff
This is dumb. Ja is a top 10-15 player in the league.
Posted on 5/12/22 at 11:57 am to Boomshockalocka
WBB, we haven’t even started talking about what Miami looked like after Lebron looked like after Lebron left, or Toronto after kawhi left, or the clippers with kawhi and George missing most of this season. Nor have we talked about all the wins brown rode lebron’s coattails to occurred in the same East you love to rail on.
How did the last warriors lead assistant that got hired by the kings work out WBB?

Brown is just the next In line of whipping boys for the casual fans who claim they suck. That is why I always take a wait and see approach with coaches bc let’s be honest you don’t know what you don’t know. Not picking you specifically bc I don’t have any idea what your take was on previous coaches but as guys like Spo, lue, and Kidd have shown us, the average fan doesnt have a clue. Every situation is different and coaches who have been written off can defintiely find success in the right spot.

Brown has a long history with multiple stops demonstrating he is a not a good head coach. People accurately pointing that out is not the same as people assuming lue and Kidd will not be good coaches because of their lack of experience.
Back to the questions at hand, are you going to answers those coaching records ir not?
