So I was checking out there forums before the game this evening and found this little gem of a post titled:

quote:

In 2-3 years will "Gabbert to Blackmon" be the new "Aikman to Irvin"

not all jag fans are like this. the other group thinks he's awful and they should scrap the project now. predicting/hoping for a top 5 pick next year.

I was actually hoping he'd wear #88 for the Jags. Seemed like a perfect match.

Good comparison on their potential TMD.

Gabbert reminds me more of a really raw, more mobile Dan Marino than anything.

I found the backstory on the Jaguars WTF meme guy... Pretty interesting.

quote:

Jaguars guy was born and raised in Columbine, Colorado. He was in the same year as the shooters of the Columbine Massacre. If you look at the graduating class photo you can see him with his trademark befuddled expression After graduating he went to college and then found a job in jacksonville, where he became a jaguars fan The GIF was actually made famous because of a screenshot somebody made during a Jaguars primetime game. It was posted on the sports board of 4chan /sp/. He was reacting to the Jaguars and their typical terrible, unexplainable playcalling and on field performance For about a year his picture was made famous and used as a meme on /sp/. One day a GIF of the picture was found and the thread about it reached hundreds of posts long. Apparently a /sp/ member then took Jagsguy and migrated him to Misc

Least one of em gets it..

quote:

I think if I was a fan of another team, I would point to this thread and LAUGH. Gabbert to Blackmon like Aikman to Irvin? You're setting yourself up for ridicule with a question like that. I'm hoping for Brunell to Smith. Aikman to Irvin? Please.
