@AdamSchefter: Mueller’s investigation will be overseen by NFL owners John Mara of Giants and Art Rooney of Steelers, and final report will be made public.

I think so too; don't think he would weep uncontrollably over Hardy.

How many times do you have to continue to hire private investigators to clean up your mess before you realize you are just a royal f up.

Yeah no one is trusting an internal investigation after this clusterfrick
Canning goodell AfTER an internal investigation could be the plan to restore trust and goodwill
Only a matter of time before sponsors who've been squeezed for every dime use this to their leverage
The real kicker is the NFLPA will file an unfair labor practices lawsuit and contend that the video was seen and thus RR's 2nd suspension violates the CBA
This is about to get uglier and it will overshadow the entire season UNLESS goodell is sent packing along with all of his immediate subordinates

It seems like the owners are the ones having the investigation conducted.

I don't think he's genuine but it would be impossible to look that way with that handjob nearby. I'm left with the conclusion he was asked not to attend
And that's not a good sign for goodell's job security
The owners let him handle this all now they're getting involved. Roger Dodger is toast

Zach Strief bringing the disdain on SC

The NFL just won't stop itself from digging and digging and digging a bigger grave for itself.
This may be the worst handling of a story/event by a major organization I've ever seen. Other than GM a while back.

Goodell is trying to be like Bettman.

It's only a matter of time, Goodell will be gone.
Posted on 9/10/14 at 10:19 pm to tigerpimpbot
Goodell just announced there will be an independent investigation to look into the NFL's handling of the matter.
Took a page out of Obama's playbook: just let the investigation go on for a while and everybody will cool off
Brilliant

Former FBI director Mueller.
I'm laughing my arse off that the NFL or anyone else deems itself so important they are calling in a former FBI director over this.
There's just something about it that's ridiculous

Maybe this will speed up the vote for the new drug policy

Yeah, this investigation won't be tainted at all...
how about an investigation the NFL has nothing to with initiating.. fricking bastards..

You already know the outcome...
"It was a rogue element that didnt forward the video to Goodell".
AN ENEMY WITHIN
