yeah jimbo definitely sucked. he only had TWO record breaking years on offense in 2001 and 2003. not too mention all his championships in red stick.

He was horrendous. What was saban thinking?

He lost to one of the top teams in the nation in Oklahoma and an underrated Clemson team on the road, I'd advise people wait before they throw in the towel.

He's recruited as well as anyone in the country and will have FSU competing for bigtime titles in the future.

He also had the most predictable offenses in the history of cfb.

I thought they were a year away at least before the season.

the fact that they don't even try to run the football is rather odd. I think Jimbo is a good coach, but the FSU hype machine was in undeserved overdrive.

I thought he caught way too much shite at LSU than he deserved. Time really does change perception. People clamoring for him and/ or Pelini to replace Les forget just how vilified both of those guys were at times during their tenure. Hell, after the 1st game or 2 of '05 people were ready to pack Bo's bags. They felt the same during the latter half of their national championship run in '07. But I digress.

Jimbo is a fine coach, but the dude has lost like 6 of his first 16 games. And Bobby didn't exactly leave the cupboard bate. Sure, Jimbo is recruiting great, but Florida State never really had a significant recruiting decline. And he's got that Southern good ol boy thing that Bowden had, but I don't think he has near the charisma to sustain the kind of excellence those guys want. He'll be good, but Im not sold at all on bus greatness

in 2013 I will.. still a ways to go before that. His fault though... he booted bobby out in a classless way to take over the team so I hope he is unsuccessful for many years to come.

I never did. His biggest achievement is beating a rebuilding Florida team last year. Still don't see why they were so highly rated going in.

This thread is as dumb as most of the shite on the rant.

Yeah, let's believe that Jimbo is overrated when he's not even a year and a half in as a head coach.

Not to mention he hasn't exactly had the best QB's to work with.

Give it some time people before you come up with this trash.

People underestimate how much Bobby let the program deteriorate.

I'm still not sold on Pelini as a head coach either.

Three straight division titles(one shared) in his first three years as a head coach(After one in the previous 8 years)

2-1 in Bowl Games

Turned one of the most terrible defenses in the nation in 2007 to one of the best over the past three years in an offensive conference. And switching to a new defensive scheme this year.

Two years in a row a defensive player from Nebraska has been drafted in the first round(hadn't happened in over a decade).. and he's about to put two more in the first round this year.

Finally has a quarterback who runs the system Pelini wants. (Joe Ganz his first year, Zac fricking Lee his second year, Martnez last/this year in his FRESHMAN and sophomore seasons.

9, 10, and 10 wins in his first three seasons. Back to back 10 win seasons for the first time at Nebraska since 2000-2001.

MAYBE one or two legit in state prospects per year.

Injuries have swamped this team going back to the preseason. Jimbo keeps up the recruiting, and this team will be a force to deal with.
