Isn't there like a 40 year waiting list for season tickets? That's the real prized possession

You can buy an authentic jersey or other trinkets or you can buy a share of stock to support the team.

Not a lot of difference.

I'll take the stock sale over begging for tax payer money any day.

I am curious as to what percentage of those season ticket owners still live in the state?

According to the wiki page. Shareholder do get a vote on Board of Directors and attend yearly corporate meetings

You get invited to run around Lambeau Field each summer. They might have old Packers signing autographs or something, but mainly you get to take your picture on the field.

There’s a bunch of thick midwesterners jumping about 3 inches off the ground as they try the Lambeau Leap.

Put this on the money board and people would be screaming about dilution

Back in mid 90's i owned Boston Celtics stock. It really never moved, but had a really good dividend. I even received voting papers to vote ifor board members.

It was my 401K, and i was like why the frick not.

My grandparents bought me stock in the Packers a Christmas present in 97. It’s completely worthless but at the time I thought it was the coolest thing ever.

A Packers "stock" has less value than a subscription to the Jelly of the Month Club.

I’ve got a good friend who is a big Bears fan. That’s a little more than I’d usually spend on an Xmas gift but maybe I’ll splurge this year.

If I were a Packers fan I'd definitely buy a share if I got a plaque or certificate.

The Florida Panthers were also on the stock exchange, not sure if they still are traded, but at one time you could also purchase stock in them, along with Celtics.

Exactly.

I bet those howling about this also scream that taxpayers shouldn't be paying for stadiums.

People need to remember the Packers are the only publicly owned professional sports team. They don't have a billionaire owner.

This made me curious and it looks like taxes paid for the upgrades in 2003. Not trying to be an “actually” guy but it appears the sales tax was retired in 2015

Pro: The reason that they are still in Ashwaubenon even though Lambeau wanted to move them to Los Angeles.

Cons: Decision making process on internal personnel can be painfully slow. In my opinion they have more Super Bowl titles with an actual owner.
