Probably doesn't want to say anything that will be construed into him being racist.

He's a Democrat. You already know what his take is.

His take would be moderately lefty, which would piss off 90% of people. All he gains from speaking is a target on his back

I bet Saban is secretly hoping the season gets cancelled. He’s lost a major step and doesn’t want to have to get his arse kicked by Ed O again this year

He's too busy getting recruits that'll go their entire career without losing to LSU.

You sure he wants it canceled? He gets to chalk up an automatic win and shutout every time he visits Baton Rouge.

Saban only speaks up when politicking for a rule change after getting outcoached

Saban is too busy pushing the mask mandate.

His algorithms must have returned that staying out of it would pose the least risk to recruiting.

I’m sure he wants to play but would also like some kind of practice before he sends his team out there... not that it would matter even in a regular situation Bama will lose two to three games this year.

Alabama coach Nick Saban, along with two of his star players, pushed back Monday on the narrative that players are more at risk of contracting the coronavirus if the college football season is played this fall.

"I want to play, but I want to play for the players' sake, the value they can create for themselves," Saban told ESPN. "I know I'll be criticized no matter what I say, that I don't care about player safety. Look, players are a lot safer with us than they are running around at home. We have around a 2 percent positive ratio on our team since the Fourth of the July. It's a lot higher than that in society. We act like these guys can't get this unless they play football. They can get it anywhere, whether they're in a bar or just hanging out."

So now Bama fans, if this season gets kicked off, might as well start ordering their National Championship shirts?
