What do you think?

I think Khabib will be 28-0.

Khabib is the significant favorite for a reason. He's healthy and hungry. Poirier is a good fighter on the feet, great test for Khabib. If anyone can get a stoppage vs Khabib, I'd say Poirier is near the top of the list at 155.

Khabib/Poirier vs Ferguson will be next up. Hopefully everyone stays healthy for a change.

Unfortunately this is it. Dustin has to get the perfect KO or knockdown within 3 rounds.

I'd really like to see Poirier do what Stipe did against Cormier and work the body early. Just trying to knock Khabib's head off is a recipe for getting taken down and pummeled. Footwork and cardio are going to be tested for Poirier.

I disagree with this. Poirier is a 5 round fighter. He has very good cardio and I think if it goes into 4 and 5 the fight is going in his favor.

I think poirier is easily the best fighter khabib has faced in the UFC and will be a tough challenge.

I'm picking poirier as the underdog. I just think the last few fights have conditioned him for this moment and he has Mike brown in his corner, one of the best coaches in the sport right now.

Either way I think it is a great fight. The winner vs el cucuy will have their hands full. I think el cucuy is the best fighter in the sport right now.

Great points by diat. I like Poirier’s chances here, and actually think that the fight favors him if it goes longer.

Also, I wonder if Khabib will be a different fighter with his dad in the corner for the first time.

I have mixed feelings about this...
Khabib can be so smothering especially late in fights when his opponent is tired and worn down.

But I also tend to agree with this a bit... as Khabib gets tired (which he never seems to get tired) Poirier has a better chance to keep it standing and land his big shots.

I think it will be a great fight and whichever fighter can dictate the pace and location will probably win. I think Khabib by ground and pound in Rd 4.

I don't have a ton of rational analysis for this, but Dustin just seems like he's been obsessed with becoming champion since that loss to Conor. I feel like he's ready to die in the octagon, and that might be worth something.

I think Ferguson is the only one with a chance to beat Khabib. His unorthodox style and submission skills would be something Khabib hadn't seen before.

Don't you troll Lafayette threads by saying people from Lafayette are UFC Affliction lovin' baws? Now you're in here sounding like the Cris Collinsworth of the UFC.

You crazy baw. Anyway, hope Poirier takes down that commie bastard.

He’s got that power but I don’t see it happening

He’s also a bjj black belt but Khabib still mauls them too

Dustin's bjj is very very good and if I had to guess on a possible outcome that hasn't got much attention, it is Dustin submitting Khabib. If he gets too lose and aggressive with the ground and pound it could happen. Dustin can catch him in a triangle.

So that's my prediction, Dustin wins in rd 3 by triangle choke.
