Holmes
Pretty much the only person I was rooting for last night.

You can shot put a ball off your body without having control of the ball though, which I'm sure was the ruling.

There would have basically been a no call mugging on a hail Mary.
that's what i said last night to friends
no way they could have called DPI on a hail mary last night

I would hope you don't jake

I thought they should have been heaving hail marys from the first play of that last possession.
Much greater chance of getting DPI with time still on the clock.

jake you never really explained your grass is not enough comment.

i've never thought that scraping grass was enough to touch "the ground"
just like when they look at dirt flying up on replays to show the foot hit ground (aka earth)

I hate that espn is already asking "is this the greatest super bowl ever?"
probably one of the better 4th quarters and finishes, but the game itself sucked until the 4th.

if somebody doesn't pull it up, i'm going to look at the rules. i've never thought of the grass as the ground, and i'm shocked that others do. i may be wrong

What are they gonna talk about if they dont though?

you know that everything that happens in sports on espn's watch is the greatest ever ...

yeah 75% of this game was sloppy. it wasn't even good D or anything, just bad OL play and 1 major turnover

dude i just said grass for the frick of it. i didnt know you were gonna overanalyze every word in the post. you knew what the frick i meant. come on man you're better than that.

SFP, at first I thought it appeared he didnt have one foot on the ground, but it was just the angle it was shot. When seeing it from another angle it was clear it was a good catch and the correct call.

loose would imply it was in the air or on the ground, it wasn't. It was still in his hand and he pushed it forward, an almost carbon copy of the play they reviewed in the first half and ruled and incomplete pass
the same exact thing happened to Brees in the Tampa game, it was ruled a fumble. Pushing a ball you have no control off does not = pass

i actually thought the same thing initially and even after never getting a really good angle on the replay still have a doubt in my mind that his right leg landed on the back of his calf and never touched the ground ... on the interception return i don't think the ball crossed the goal line before his head hit either ..
