Butler's absence

This was so damn strange. Bill sure acted like a diva with this whole situation. It's the SUPER BOWL, not Detroit!!!!!

I know Eli has his ups and downs but 6th all time pass yards and 7th all time passing touchdowns doesn't just roll out of the bed.

Voters are going to take into account the era he played in.

Vinny Testaverde was 6th all time in passing yards and 8th all time in passing TDs when he retired.

Look at anal born Manning's last "Super Bowl win."

Take it into account how? They're only going to compare him against his peers of his era.

I wouldn't put him in the elite category with Brady, P. Manning, Brees, or Rodgers who are no question hall of famers. Eli for most of his career was not far behind those guys in the next tier with guys like Big Ben and Philip Rivers. Eli wasn't the only reason they won those two Super Bowls but they don't win without him, I'm sure of that.

Testaverde never accomplished anything significant in his career though. He was an average to good starting QB for his time but was on some bad teams and his final years he was a backup for a few teams.

I see the Pats as the OU and tOSU of the NFL. They’re great when there’s only a week to prepare for them but they’re just good when there’s time to study them. Especially now that they’re constantly looked at for cheating.

I hope so, because they'll realize that he's never had a top 5 season. Ever.
