Anybody ever thought about the Patriots losses in the SB under Belichick?

And how all 3 of them are to absolutely horrendous QBs.

Eli was “good” early on but I see what you’re saying.

Eli will be in the HOF.
Foles was Pro Bowler and he also lit up the #1 defense in the NFCCG.

1) Giants D rose to the occasion in stifling that historic Patriots O to an extent and 2 REALLY LUCKY plays on the Giants' final drive (Asante's INT drop and THE CATCH)
2) Intensely hard fought game, NE basically didn't bother running the football, two things stood out in post hoc retrospect: the G-Men DOMINATED TOP 37-22 and the Pats committed the game's only TO in addition to Manningham's incredible catch to improve the G-Men's position to gain the winning lead
3) Offensive explosion on both sides, neither could stop the other, however, one play decided this game in a sense and that was the sack-fumble on Brady. I mean, NE's known for being horrendous in yards conceded on defense but normally great in PA, this game they failed miserably on both fronts and I'm not blaming Butler's absence, he's a good CB (not top 5 but viable) but a CB's impact on the game is on only one portion of the field, an offense can still function and be productive just slightly differently

Belichick's actually lost to a number of worse QBs than Eli in the AFC Playoffs.

2015- Lost to the corpse of Peyton Manning

2012- Lost to Joe Flacco at home

2010- Lost to Mark Sanchez at home!

2009- Lost to second year Joe Flacco at home. Flacco had a measly 34 passing yards for the entire game.

2005- Lost to Jake Plummer

The Giants losses were super fluky, but the Pats should never even have been in the first one from the tuck rule game and they lucked out big in the Seattle and Atlanta wins. Things kind of evened out.

Losing to the Jets that year at home at 14-2 was inexcusable, they had just BLOWN OUT the Jets in that same venue 45-3 5 weeks prior!

Flacco was possessed in the playoffs that year. His four game playoff run may have been as good as anyone in history.

Inexcusable. Pats should have rolled to a Super Bowl that season.

That was a weird, weird game. Pats had a shitload of first half turnovers and were down 24-0 in the blink of an eye. I think Rice went for an 87 yard TD on Baltimore's first play from scrimmage. Baltimore did knock out a 13-3 Titans team the next week as well. Their defense was filthy

You're a very dumb and envious son of a bitch.

Look at anal born Manning's last "Super Bowl win." Some of the worst numbers of any starting QB to ever win one.

He gets the credit for 2014 and 2016 coming from behind double digits in the fourth quarter with TDs too brah

They had no deep threat or running game. Jets squatted Welker and pats had no one else to get open. That team was wedged between Moss and Gronk

2009 was the worst pats team of the era. Brady still wasn’t right after the knee surgery, lost Welker in week 17 on the Houston turf, Edelman was a rookie, traded Moss mid season because he lost interest, defense was ancient, running game was ehhhh

Worst one is 2006. If they would’ve spent more than 2 dollars at WR that year then they would’ve won

Well, I guess you finally found it. Belichick’s weakness is shitty QBs in the postseason. But only half the time. The other half he wins SB

This dude said Brady singlehandedly lost the Super Bowl this year and doesn't think he'll be in the HOF. Just pat him on the head and move on.

And yet think Brady solely lost the SB this year.

I know Eli has his ups and downs but 6th all time pass yards and 7th all time passing touchdowns doesn't just roll out of the bed.
