Any Carencro fans?

i put a call into blake today but i still do not know what happened. ill figure it out though

Some rumors are that he used to show up to school drunk and leave early. I don't know much of that is true.

The Principal tried to pull a Power Play on him, and failed miserably. It will come out eventually.

years ago they hired a new principal, her name was Annatte Semac. she was brought in to change the focus of the school from athlete factory to a legitimate academic institution. Her first order of business was to audit the school's finances. This included the athletic department revenue and budget on and off the "books."

So Mac didn't like that. He pitched a fit but took it because he didn't have a choice. The audit found severe misuse of funds, a Carencro Football credit card that was being used for personal expenditures, and a booster club that was out of control, to put it mildly. The principal gets control of the athletic department finances. When you control the money, you control the program.

One day a fight breaks out in the gym. Kids are running all over the place, someone gets in the principal's face and tells her to call the cops because the fight is out of control. She asks "where are the PE coaches, are they in the gym?" No one knows for sure. So the fight is stopped, and there are some faces missing that should be there. Turns out the PE/Football coaches that should have been in the gym were in their office and two of them were not on campus (without permission). The principal does some digging and finds out they were sitting in the bar at Picante Mexican restaurant drinking and eating lunch. Also turns out that this was routine for them. So she fires them

Mac can't do much about that. So the next season, Semac presents Mac with a new class schedule, a new coaching roster and some regulations on handling athletic department money. Mac doesn't like that, goes to the School Board, flexes his muscles and threatens to quit. They call his bluff, so he quits but only re-signs as Head Football Coach. Since he has seniority in the system they can't force him out of teaching, so he becomes the freshmen coach and a varsity assistant in name only so he can go watch Blake at Lafayette High.

In the mean time Northside High has hired an alumni that has turned their program around. backed by keiland williams they make a Dome appearance in 2004. So all of those kids on the north end of town that live in areas that would allow them to skirt the district eligibility rules and choose between Acadiana/carencro/northside are suddenly choosing acadiana and northside. carencro football takes a nosedive, Acadiana wins a state title and Northside becomes a solid and successful 4A program.

Guidry leaves Carencro, nobody wants the carencro job because of the situation. So Mac reluctantly takes over again. Semac says there is not enough faculty slots to hire more football coaches so mac is forced to make do with a very small staff. He persuades Kirk Crochet to come out of retirement to help him as a non-faculty/retiree staffer. They have Mac, 4 full time coaches on staff, the AD helps out when he can, and Crochet.

So Semac wants Mac to do more with less before, during and after school hours. His issue is he is a 5A football coach in the midst of turning a program around and he doesn't have the time to teach PE and needs more help. She says that teaching is his job, he gets pissed off and they have words. She suspends him for one game, Crochet serves as interim HC that night then quits on saturday. Barousse quits on monday.

Totally Agree with everything you said, i just thought a bigger part in their degression was the fact they weren't getting kids ready to play at their feeder program carencro middle...which was another product of administration running a coach out

From what i understand Carencro has a good IT program there for students.
