The internet maybe isn't the best place to judge someone's use of the English language, but it's detection of flaws in character is unmistakable.

Your right. I have no character. You believe in the tooth fairy?

Played with Blake back at LHS and graduated with him. Last I heard he headed to McNeese to play football. Mark's program at LHS has gone sour last 2-3 years from what i've heard.

anyway part of the success of CHS football was the system at CMS but that doesn't account for the kids that came to CHS from Acadian Middle, NP Moss, Scott Middle, and Lafayette Middle and contributed

and if you are wondering how does a kid from a Lafayette, Northside or Acadiana feeder school end up at CHS in the glory days the answer is simple:

I'm in no way defending carencro, i really don't like them but the only school they have or could have taken kids from was northside. I went to scott middle and we had a few kids go to carencro in the mid 90's but they were in carencro's school zone. Northside and Carencro are close to each other and that would be splitting hairs to see who should have went where. Its a crapshoot really. Kevin Faulk was said to live in Northsides district.

quote:

1) CAYSI is run by Carencro football alums and boosters

2) they see every kid from SLYSI/Brown Park/SATS in youth football and learn who they are early on

3) kids get to middle school and the Carencro volunteer "coaches" (which were just alumni helping the program out) would go watch the games

4) CHS parents would talk up kids and their parents of other feeders at the middle school games

5) talk of "hey your son should come to carencro and play with my son for coach mac so they win a state title" amongst the parents. Don't send your kid to Acadiana/Lafayette/Northside send them to carencro where they will win and be "safe"

6) now it is as simple as finding an address in the carencro zone, moving to a rent house/apt in carencro or later on enrolling in the special academy at carencro and your kid is playing for mac and the best program in Lafayette Parish (at the time)

Please, STM does this crap all the time but its ok for them to do it because they're a private school? Oh nevermind it is!

quote:

Alley Broussard lived in the Acadiana zone, visited Lafayette High in the summer before his 9th grade year, worked out all summer with the carencro football team but went to Acadiana when an Acadiana Football Asst Coach showed up at his apt at 7AM and brought him to Acadiana and enrolled him. Much to Mac Barousse's chagrin, because they thought they had him but they didn't follow through.

You may question me on my saying that STM gets athletes from middle schools around the lafayette area but i would really like to know how you came up with this. Lafayette high is a magnet school which means anyone from the area could go there. He did have a relative in carencro as we found out he was talking to the carencro coaches to go to Carencro after his sophmore year, but he didn't go because Carencro had DD and that would have been a step back as Acadiana had a better team than carencro and to this day still does

And F*ck Carencro Open air cro-dome my @ss

I thought Lafayette High was only magnet for gifted and french immersion. In other words, you either had to be in gifted, french immersion or live in Lafayette zone to go there.

Anyway, I remember the days back prior to the mid-80s when Carencro was absolutely putrid in football. I graduated there in 79, and the most games we ever won while I was there in a season was 3. Then, starting in 80, they had two straight 0-10 seasons--and that with a qb who signed with NC State.
