True. I do have a lot more faith in Freeman's bat being very valuable over the next 6-8 years than Heyward's bat. If they did offer him an extension, he was dumb not to sign it IMO.

Heyward will never have a .300 average. But he can hit you 30 bombs, steal you 30 bases and be a gold glove outfielder.

his approach at the plate makes me wanna poke my eyeballs out.

How do you hate Heyward's approach at the plate? He has a ton of plate discipline and draws walks quite well.
