We said he is not far and away the best coach and that when you got people taking him over any player it is a clear sign that this has gotten out of hand.

Agree. I'm a huge Brad Stevens fan but this is a players league.

He’s a smart guy but gets overly emo someitmes. When he loses or is losing money on a game, it means that teams coach sucks. Or the refs.

He hasn't really been in the betting on hoops game in some time now.

Stevens is maybe the best coach in basketball at any level. If his Butler success and what the Celtics have done this year haven't proven that, nothing will.

90% of the NBA coaches are figure heads. Paying dues or whatever, they are cucks to the players and would have already been fired if they walked into what Stevens walked into when he got hired by Celtics.

Casual as can be. he had a coach get hired into a HC job in Borrego, another first runner up in Milwaukee, and another who has had several HC interviews. And that’s not even including Hammond.

When people give credit to Pop's assistants, it's typically treated as a compliment to Pop. As in, "oh this assistant must be good because he came from the 'Pop tree'." People aren't saying that Pop is good because his assistants are good.

Or ... that it really would not have mattered who the Celtics had as HC with that roster?

And...Bill Russell was player/coach.

That's how vital Red Auerbach saw the coaching position. He knew it was a player's game...doesn't matter what you draw up...it's a fluid players game. You can't control it like in football.

Lets not act like we need a week of film-work and Xs/Os like in football for a basketball game.

Oh, hey, here’s the best playmaking two-way big man in the league in Al Horford.

I'm starting to understand why the "anonymous coach" isn't getting much media attention

Me not paying attention to idiots on Twitter talking to a meaningless SI reporter makes me a casual fan?

You said no one is saying that. You said B made it up of all things. Like that is my MO. There’s over 7k voters saying Stevens over any player.
