It’s really odd that so many people can ignore race when it comes to their favorite LSU and professional athletes, but for some reason, angel reese is the one that makes people somehow remember that they need to cheer for athletes based on their race lol

In regards to Angel Reese, nobody gives a shite about her skin color

if she were a white guy she would be perceived as a selfish mouthy player attention whore that cannot play other than to pad meaningless stats as the team loses selfishly but Greg Kite didnt pose for pictures dressed up like a hood rat b4 games

i agree, but she's definitely the one that people show their true colors, no pun intended, about.... there is not a doubt in my mind, that if she were ANY other race, she wouldn't receive half the condemnation that she gets now...

there is no way, that if she were white, having delivered a WBB NC like she did, that ANY fan of LSU would dog her as much as they do now..... if she was a carbon copy, physically, of Clark, but yet the attitude, play style, etc, was the exact same, no one would say shite...

but here we are...

This only works if you pretend that everyone hated her while she won us a championship, but you know that's not the truth.

you act like people can't just keep it in when their unpopular opinion would be basically blasphemous to the majority at large, at the time...

but once that was over, and as soon as she wasn't an LSU athlete anymore, she was fair game to tear down, for some folk...

and i stand by what i've said... if she weren't black, she wouldn't get as much shite as she does, from a certain segment of the people in society...

Cool. Double and triple down. I don't care.

well time has passed and she acted in ways post-championship.that she had not before

Was she not suspended for part of the season by Coach Kim after the championship. Would not that not qualify is a additional information and a change in behavior they may alter a person's opinion including her head coach

with more information, people can change their opinion on a variety of things

and with this, i'm not talking about analysis and criticism of her free throw shooting....

i'm talking about the personal attacks, on her as a person, not as a player... same could be said of a lot of athletes who choose to speak their opinion, but have the unfortunate situation of "not being white"...

And are those things because of her personally or things attributed to her entire race?

i agree with you... i'm not saying it's only one sided... but we are specifically speaking about Reese, so the reverse argument wasn't necessary, but yes, i agree with you on this

again, NO ONE is saying that racism against white people doesn't happen... i agree, yes, white people, especially in basketball, are discriminated against quite often... no one is saying that doesn't happen... the whataboutism is dually noted... but again, that has no bearing on what the topic at hand is...

You really aren't smart Reese went from being loved as a champion to ridiculed when her words and actions earned it. Literally zero do do with her skin color.
