You are absolutely correct. Divide & Conquer. Distracts from both sides screwing us over.

Dumb

Maybe, but no more dumb than white-knighting for her for whatever reason.

It's amazing to me how she can act like shes jumping, but somehow fall at the same time.

Dude. She's shooting 22.7% from the field. She's almost as bad from the FT stripe. Her offensive boards are driven by her own inability to make a fricking layup. Her defensive boards are driven by being a bully and stature, not talent. They don't convert to points or wins. Her team was the WORST team in the league last year, and shocker... look where they are now. She's not likable and her play is laughable. If you put her 1:1 with the worst player in the NBA, I doubt she'd score a single point, and I am being serious.

Yep, that about covers it

We gotta come up with another word for it other than rebound. Those aren’t rebounds. She’s missing “layups” from directly underneath the basket and the ball comes straight back to her because they’re such terrible attempts. Reesebounds.

For real when I think of rebounding I think of boxing out and high pointing the ball. Yea you can rebound your own ball but there’s nothing athletic about what she’s doing. Her own misses are hitting the rim and nailing her back in the face. It’s a sham that’s being counted as a rebound.

Denis Rodman

I hate when people try to make this comparison. Maybe you are being sarcastic....IDK. But Dennis Rodman was an elite defender, elite rebounder, and rarely took shots. He knew his skills and his place.

She was the first I recall doing it back when she got to LSU. That's when an announcer back then told the story that she wore it to cover a scar but I can't recall the situation behind the scar.

He was.

This was not always true. He was not a bad shooter, just not a great one.

How would you classify reese’s shooting?

Relative to women's basketball, when looked at from a macro level, generally mediocre, just below the middle of the pack last season. If you consider where most of her shots are taken, bad. In that last game, horrific.

It would very interesting to see how many rebounds she averages per game that are off HER misses.

It’s like 20%. It’s not a huge number but that’s still a decent portion of her rebounds.

Wnba is hilarious, it is a comedy act, lol. None of the players jumped, not Reese or the big girl on defense. No wonder they can't beat a boys high school team.

It's a bit of a chore to find out. With only two games, it was pretty easy to just look at the play-by-play, though. In her first game this season, it was 3 of 17 total (7 offensive) rebounds. I think in the last game it was 4 of 12 (8 offensive) rebounds, so 7 of 29 total and 7 of 15 offensive rebounds. in Game one, two of he "mebounds" came on one series of plays, in Game two, all 4 came on one series of plays.

It’s only two games but if this trend keeps up, man that’s horrible

IT's about 24% of her total rebounds, 7 of 29, which I think is worse than last season. And game two was just awful, which is 50% of her stats now. Kind of early to judge yet. But it seems clear where her issue lies in these two games, 6 of her 7 rebounds were on two play sequences, and one of those was her grabbing a rebound of a blocked shot, which I view a bit differently. It seems to me the problem, at least in part, is that she is rushing to try to put balls back when she should probably just clear the ball out.

But, while I do watch LSU women's basketball a bit, I do not really watch the WNBA very often, so I am basing that on stats, which can be misleading at times.

Just when people start thinking the WNBA is skilled and entertaining because of Caitlin Clark's passing and Steph Curry impersonation....

Angel Reese has to show up and remind us that the WNBA is STILL garbage skill, missed shots, layups galore....and Angel won't let you forget that.

You would think ESPN and the WNBA would try to HIDE Angel and not show her clips which remind the audience of the WNBA follies.

Angel is not good for business and she's not good for the WNBA's new image. She's falling through the cracks, her 15 minutes are dwindling, clutching for on-court photo dust-ups and photo-ops with Clark to remain relevant. Taunting only makes you famous for so-long, calling yourself the Villain doesn't last past a yawn.
