An NHL player got stitches mid game and came back to play. In a regular season game.

This game is still played by tough guys who love to play hard just because. They’re paid well but not near any of the other 3 major sports. They’re far more humble. Even the super stars. They put the team first and the gear they put it into in the playoffs is on another worldly level.

NBA players fight with people on Instagram and load manage an 82 game season that a lot of teams basically coast through as it is.

They had a player a few years ago in the minors have a heart attack on the bench.

They got him back. He tries to sit back on the bench and go back in the game lol.

I love hockey.

That wasn't in the minors. That was a Dallas Stars player.

Dude, you just realizing this shite?

Perfect example of how tough hockey players are, was years ago. Brendan Shannahan(Blues), got high sticked by Keith Tkachoke, cut his mouth all up, he was bleeding all over the place, had to get his inner mouth and lip sown shut to stop the bleeding.

He came back 5 minutes later, and then beat the shite out of Tkachoke, and left him bleeding on the ice after a beat down. None of that NBA/MLB slapping shite, he pulled a,"Meet me Behind Sonic" beatdown.

Pretty sure a Bruins player broke his leg a few years ago and finished his shift.

Guys are batshit insane.

That was Zdeno Chara. He played three games with a broken leg.

From SI:
quote:

The team announced Tuesday the 38-year-old Chara, who missed 19 games from October to December this season with the knee injury, suffered a non-displaced fracture in his left fibula and pegged his recovery time at four weeks. According to an NHL.com report, he suffered the injury after taking a David Booth shot off his ankle in an April 4 game against Toronto, but played the Bruins' final three regular-season games and averaged more than 24 minutes a game.

Back in 2009, Brendan Witt got hit by a car while crossing the street and played that night. No serious injuries...but still.

Seth Jones did it that last year, and scored on it.

After the game he was out 8-10 weeks

True. I once watched a player slam a ball in his own face and keep on playing.

Here is video of said event.

We were at the game, was a afternoon game and took some relatives who had never gone to a hockey game. When we got home watched local sports and Shanahans muth and lip looked like some one tried to carve it open with a pairing knife.

And lol at Tkachoke turtl'ing and taking the beating.

Jeremy Roenick broke his jaw after a hit
Went to the bench, felt his teeth all out of place, spit out some blood and finished his shift

Ryan Mcdonagh I remember a few years back broke his foot early in the playoffs
He was playing for the Rangers and that year they made the ECF
Before every game they would freeze it so he couldn’t feel it

That wasn’t the minors... that was the Dallas Stars. It was insane.

His first words after being revived were “how much time is left in the period?”
