Not really, he had arguably one of the best QB’s of all time and has 1 title to show for it. The rest is basically a .500 record. Go do your research before you talk shite.

Denver has looked better since giving up 70 points. But that is expected.

I don’t understand these threads. A team plays better and therefore less criticism. Does this need to be pointed out?

Mahomes had the flu and Buffalo has issues. The Broncos are 4-5, but let’s give Payton coach of the year.

Win another Super Bowl and I’ll change my mind. Otherwise, he’s an overrated coach who wasted prime Brees years. Is he better than Dennis Allen? Yes. But who isn’t?

they are missing key starters on defense due to injury and aren't as good on that side of the ball.

if he was playing against a team with a special teams coach who can count he would be 1-1 in those games. My God the recentcy bias here is amazing.
on paper the games shouldn't even be close. It's a phenomenal accomplishment that Payton has them close enough to win based on turnovers. you're clearly biased also

Bills were down 6 starters on defense. They are not the same Bills.

Chiefs win was solid.

I don’t care about Payton one way or the other. But that Denver team I watched last night looked terrible.

Are talking about the same head coach that was bailed out and his kicker given a 2nd chance because Buffalo cant count?

That bills team was terrible last night and almost won.

SP is still going to lose 10+ games this year.

Give me a shout back when he makes the playoffs Ace. They won’t make the playoffs this year.

Considering the pile of dog shite he took over that's not very surprising.

Saints fans not happy that as soon as next year the Broncos will likely be in a much better spot to compete than the Saints, and he is undoubtedly a great coach

The narrative would have been different if his dumbass clock management on the second to last play hadn't been bailed out by the Bills having 12 men on the field.

Regardless of the results last night, I think it’s obvious the Broncos are playing well considering it’s year 1 and the future could indeed be bright. Payton was getting hammered after that Dolphins game, and then of course there was the Jets game to keep piling on

One sign of great coaching is a team that improves steadily throughout the year. Hallmark of Saban, etc. (Not calling Payton Saban, just using example).

Broncos seem to get a bit better every week. Next year they will be solid and make the playoffs if they make the right roster moves.
