EG was primary option in second unit so he was taking a lot more low% shots than he did in Nola.

Not just standing around the arc shooting wide open threes like the Pels genius staff had him doing.

That lower % lead to 6th man of the year. But yea. He ain’t better in Houston.

Love the ‘stat boys’ like you with no ability to apply context to the numbers.

That article came out yesterday afternoon before the cavs game. Don’t focus in the minutiae and you get the overriding theme that there is no close second atm.

Best player on a team on 70 win pace leading greatest offense in history of the league. Leading the league in points scored / 3 pointers made / apparently not first anymore in assist. This is the most dominant season I can remember one player having ever.

Oh and he is the best ISO defender in the league too.

Should have 7-8 MVPs, maybe more. He's been the most valuable player for a lonnnng time now. I know it isn't cool to keep giving it to 1 guy but it should have gone to him. I'm not a LBJ fan but a fan of the game and this dude is incredible.

LeGOAT, Steph and hell I'll even include KD have defined this decade of NBA basketball. The only years, in my opinion, you could make a compelling argument a contemporary of LeGOAT's MVP was logically justified were the 3 seasons KD and Steph won theirs, excluding that LeGOAT should've won every MVP this decade no frickin doubt

I think Harden is right there with Curry and KD.

Curry has to get some credit for legit changing the way the game is played, though. Curry has had such a massive impact on the game(I think).

I don’t like Lebron whatsoever but he’s unbelievably good at basketball. The only knock against him for the first half of his career was that he was an average three point shooter. He became a solid shooter at Miami and now he’s a great shooter. It’s just unfair at this point.

Same. I think he is a bit of a bitch off the court, but every time I look up at a game this year, the dude is hitting a tough fallaway or three.

I believe he had some elbow trouble and had to clean up his jumper this offseason. Basically making his form more efficient and in line with what a fundamental jump shot looks like.

Even when shooting well, it always looked like he had the yips when firing one off.

Now he just lets em rip with supreme confidence.

You just don't see guys with the exception of Wilt, Kareem, MJ, Kobe and LeGOAT evolve, improve or maintain excellence as professional basketball players at this stage in their careers every day, particularly as they approach their mid-30s. The fact guys like Kobe and LeGOAT accomplished this without playing a year of college basketball is truly extraordinary. I'll probably give LeGOAT a lil extra credit for having to mature so quickly as the savior of the Cavs organization, Kobe did have Shaq as his safety net to commence his career so that did decrease the pressure on him relative to carrying a team.

Lebron v. Harden Advanced Clutch Stats

Harden has played fewer clutch minutes, but I would think that the WS/48 leader wouldn't have:

1. EFG% 18.4% lower (63.9% v. 45.5%)
2. TS% 11.8% lower (64% v. 52.2%)
3. TRB% 19.1% lower (21.6% v. 2.5%)
4. AST% 25.9% lower (71.4% v. 45.5%)
5. Offensive rating 9.7 points worse (129 v. 119.3)
6. Defensive rating 5.2 points worse (98.7 v. 103.9)
7. Net rating 14.9 points worse (30.3 v. 15.4)

Clutch time may only account for a small percentage of the playing time, but it's easy to tell that WS/48 leader is not leading WS/48 Clutch.

This is why the narrative that he doesn't have the will to win is absolutely the worst take in all of sports.

This guy, in year 13, after playing MORE minutes than MJ ever played, is obsessed, literally obsessed...with being songood that nobody can question who the best player in the world is.

The only reason he doesn't get credit for it is because he isn't halfway insane. He has the fire that Kobe and MJ had, without being a piece of shite to get it accross to casual arse fans.

He might be the greatest leader this league has ever seen.

Instead of showing his arse because teammates aren't as good as him or don't care as much as him(which retards praise Kobe and MJ for), Lebron changes his own game to get everything out of teammates.

There is ZERO doubt in my mind, that if a draft of every player ever were to occur, and this draft was replicated in every single era ever, with every single GM ever...

Lebron James would be the first pick.

Lebron playing clutch time minutes v the dregs of the league. Terrible teams. Only teams keeping it close with harden are average at worst. Same line of thinking for why players stats are worse in the playoffs. The competition is better.

Kings
Hawks
Nets
Mavs

Etc
Etc

Harden is already on the bench and Houston has emptied the bench v those kinda teams.
